Trespassing is up to #74 on Amazon! Last time I checked, it was around 125. He would be much higher without Whitney H's 16 or 18 CD's ahead of him. 8-) I can't believe Adele is still at #1. Doesn't everyone in the world already have her CD?  |

Don't want to mess up the $3000 round figure but maybe others will jump on board to make it $3500! I think midwifespal 's plan makes sense. I can't see us getting 3000 separate donors period, much less using LEAP DAY CHALLENGE tag. I think we need to make it more per donation. |

I can donate 30, wish I could do more, but will that help? Of course! I know a lot of people have made multiple donations and feel tapped out. Even $1 helps. I'll pledge $100 too. But can I just say that I'll match donations to get people motivated and just give the 100 at the end regardless if there aren't enough donations? without tracking? I'm confused about the matching amounts...nothing new but I'm sure someone smarter than me will figure it out. It's just fun to see everyone catching charity fever again! Yeah, I am just going to donate the $100.00 at the end no matter if there are enough donations to match. |

I getcha, murly, that would be simple, but I think it would be better to be able to tweet the challenge out to the adam-fan community in a more consistent way. I'd suggest something along the lines of: @adamlambert fans: for each donation made to charity:water with the tag LEAP DAY CHALLENGE, Atop members will add $1, up to $3000 mycharitywater.org/p/campaign?campaign_id=22963 #takealeap The only question is, for this to achieve the maximum benefit, we need to feel fairly confident that we can get 3000 adam fans to donate at least $1. If we don't think that is realistic, then we should maybe change it to "Atop members will add $2" (if we think we can get 1500 donations) or $3 (if we think we can get 1000), etc. So we need to do a quick estimate of how many people we think this challenge can realistically reach. Q3? That kind of estimatin' seems to be right up your alley. Any guesses? Then, once the challenge is over, we can do the math here at atop and presumably, if we've succeed in getting the maximum, each pledger can just gift their $100 (or $200 for a few of you). Does that make sense? (oh, and of course the link in the tweet needs to be shortened, but i don't know how to do that--Q3 will give us the shorter link soon!) This is what was confusing me too. Could we all use the same people instead of needing out own so that only 100 people will be needed? I think only about 1000 people have donated in the whole month? I definitely think it makes sense for us to "all use the same people," one way or another. That is, lets just think of it as putting all our pledges in a big ol' Atop pot, and then paying for matches out of that, proportionally to what we put in (which should be everything we put in, ideally, and even if it isn't, it will be anyway, wink wink, though perhaps we should be a little hush hush about that to keep the full incentive power). I made things even more confusing in an ETA to my post at the top of the page, if that helps any ;D. |

I am so impressed by everyone's generosity here. Although I'm a little confused on the logistics of the plan, I would love to join you in matching donations up to $100.
