Been meaning to ask, has anyone figured out how to get that hard copy single from Japan? Ask Mia about that, she just ordered a couple of those.

Gosh, I'd like to play in the leap day challenge but my birthday's the next day and I've planned all along to gift myself a $100 donation to charity water on that day. Oh, oh, oh, wait!! I can gift my twin the $100 gift on our birthday and play in the leap day challenge for myself! Count me in on the leap day matching donation.

I getcha, murly, that would be simple, but I think it would be better to be able to tweet the challenge out to the adam-fan community in a more consistent way. I'd suggest something along the lines of: @adamlambert fans: for each donation made to charity:water with the tag LEAP DAY CHALLENGE, Atop members will add $1, up to $3000 mycharitywater.org/p/campaign?campaign_id=22963 #takealeap The only question is, for this to achieve the maximum benefit, we need to feel fairly confident that we can get 3000 adam fans to donate at least $1. If we don't think that is realistic, then we should maybe change it to "Atop members will add $2" (if we think we can get 1500 donations) or $3 (if we think we can get 1000), etc. So we need to do a quick estimate of how many people we think this challenge can realistically reach. Q3? That kind of estimatin' seems to be right up your alley. Any guesses? Then, once the challenge is over, we can do the math here at atop and presumably, if we've succeed in getting the maximum, each pledger can just gift their $100 (or $200 for a few of you). Does that make sense? (oh, and of course the link in the tweet needs to be shortened, but i don't know how to do that--Q3 will give us the shorter link soon!)

I can donate 30, wish I could do more, but will that help? Of course! I know a lot of people have made multiple donations and feel tapped out. Even $1 helps. I'll pledge $100 too. But can I just say that I'll match donations to get people motivated and just give the 100 at the end regardless if there aren't enough donations? without tracking? I'm confused about the matching amounts...nothing new but I'm sure someone smarter than me will figure it out. It's just fun to see everyone catching charity fever again!

I'm confused about the matching amounts...nothing new but I'm sure someone smarter than me will figure it out. It's just fun to see everyone catching charity fever again! I'm sure everyone would be happy to give their max pledge. SO what we have to do is figure out as best we can how to structure the challenge so that we reach that maximum (see my earlier post), thus getting the most out of the drive. ANd that'll make distributing the payment-responsibilities at the end really simple--everyone just gives their max. And if we still don't reach that max for some reason, I won't tell on anyone who chooses to give the full pledged amount anyway 8-)) ETA: I think one simple way we can be confident of reaching our full pledged matching amount is through a simple 1-to-1 correlation, donation to match. But of course we'd raise more money reaching 1000 $30 donors with the match than we would reaching 100 $30 donors, which is why, ideally, there'll be some kind of incentive for number of donors, rather than size of donation, built into the challenge. A simple 1-to-1 caps the amount raised at twice our pledge amount (right now that would be $6,000). But if, for example, we think we can reach 3,000 donors who each donate, on average, $5, then we can promise to add $1 to each donation (up to $3,000), and our grand total for the challenge would be $18,000! Much better! Does that help to clarify anything?

Could we all use the same people instead of needing out own so that only 100 people will be needed? I think only about 1000 people have donated in the whole month? And Yay burrito. Two burriotos are better than one . Hope you both have a wonderful birthday!
