BTIKM debuted at #17 on the VH1 Countdown!
Maybe the iTunes bump is related to that?

BTIKM debuted at #17 on the VH1 Countdown! Maybe the iTunes bump is related to that? It was at 514 and 144 before VH1 so it got a nice bump prior. I'm sure the moving up is due to Top 40 radio playing it. I get random retweets in my timeline lately from people who have heard it for the first time and are loving it! But now that we know the UK is releasing a different single, I wonder how long they are going to give BTIKM here, before going for #2. The UK also has a date for album release as April 16th now. Soooooo, I am going to say new single by first of April. But wait, Kris' single comes out March 26th and they would not do Adam's the same day, so maybe Adam's the week after? Hard to figure RCA out. |

It looks like it's going to be much harder to push a MV up the countdown now. Used to do 100s of votes a day. I wonder if VH1 limits the votes by checking ISP addresses? Wouldn't that be too much work?

I don't make anything of it. Adam's run on CHR so far has been, 63 to 64 to 59 to 61. It's been anything but stable. The difference between 59 and 61 is 10 spins. Not that big a deal, IMO. We picked up 2 new spinners middle of last week too, so when their overnight spins go to daytime spins, it can still pick up. I have a feeling that RCA is readying a 2nd single anyway, especially after Shoshanna's announcement of a different single in the UK. I would guess we will have a new one here, before the album drop, too. |

Almost all stations start out playing songs over night. It's one of those weird radio things they do. Supposedly, trying it over night ( when no one is listening) let's them know if the song is popular enough to spin during the day. : Ya, pretty much I think the people who run radio are there because their IQ doesn't allow them to do anything else! |
