And Mia Farrow just started following Adam :D (checked 10 minutes ago - she wasn´t following him) I wonder how she saw his tweet if she wasn't following him? Pretty cool tho that she did see it and then offered her words of encouragement. I love how he stands up for not only himself but for the LGBT community. I know at first he said he didn't want to be an advocate but he's really grown into the role fabulously. She just started following him so I would guess she read back on his timeline. You don't have to be following someone to read there tweets you just search for them and read them.

Somebody whom she was following probably retweeted Adam's tweet and that's how she saw it. oh yeah, didn't even think of retweets. I don't have a twitter account that I actually follow anyone on. Just one for voting for Adam ;D They could ban the haters who intentionally break the rules and attempt to bait the fans but the MODS on TWOP have never been adam fan friendly. TWOP is another place where you don't have to be a fan. I've read the thread since Idol days and the thread has always been a battle ground. Fans that take the bait and get pissy with the trolls are as big a problem as the haters. 1st rule of ANY board is DON'T FEED THE TROLLS. They ARE aggressive moderators but that is also a well known fact and people still push the limits. They got more and more aggressive as time went on in an attempt to keep the thread reasonably on track. Their rules are much more straight forward and fairly consistant compared to some other sites. I wouldn't want the job of moderating any Adam site and that includes this one because it is a really really tricky job and you are ALWAYS pissing someone off no matter how hard you try to keep things fair. Moderating an internet board is WORK and those who do it aren't getting paid. It is generally a thankless task. That being said I'd like to thank the moderators here for their contribution to making ATOP the wonderful place that it has become. <Q3 CLOSED THIS DISCUSSION -- please do not discussion other site's policies here. Thanks>

It's NOT that they are mad with power it is that they are sick of having to mod the SAME PEOPLE over and over for breaking a rule that they have sticky posted at the top of the page so it is at the top of EVERY PAGE. The haters start pointing out what a flop Adam is and the fans defend him and it starts the whole thing all over again. They made a SPECIFIC RULE against debating that topic because all it did was cause trouble so when people step out of line it is easier to just close the thread than to have to mod everybody's posts. I think at this point we are lucky we even HAVE a thread at TWOP because it is surely more trouble than it is worth for the moderators. That may be true in this case, but trust me, they are mad with power. They issue warnings and ban people for the most innocuous transgressions, and the rules seem to change with the tides. This is so true. I tiptoe around there as it is. I thought I was following the guidelines to a T and ignoring the trolls and I got a warning. My "offensive" post was so innocuous I couldn't believe it. Makes me afraid to post anything on Adam's thread there. And you know, the trolls can get the thread closed just by being obnoxious, and then they return with a new name and the same old crap when we just want to discuss Adam. *sigh*

Just out of curiosity have you been reading the thread since the beginning? I have and when you've been following along from the beginning it makes more sense because their tolerance for shit has deteriorated. They are pretty good at knowing where something is headed and choose to jump on the shit early before it gets bad. This is a result of some truly horrendous warring that went on right after Idol. Unfortunately it can seem heavy handed if you haven't the history of the shit that went down before to go on. ETA: Unfortunately some perfectly innocent comments may get jumped on because there is a very fine line between some of the passive/aggressive bullshit and an innocent comment by a new poster who doesn't realize their comment contains a phrase that will trigger WWIII. It really is sometimes hard to tell the difference between a truly new fan and an old troll with a shiney new username.

George Takeiþ@GeorgeTakeiReply Retweeted Bill Maher said it best: "For the record, all marriages are same sex marriages. You get married, and every night, it's the same sex.” A bit late to the party, but this is soooo funny - love Maher
