Well crap, Adam. At this point in time, I don't think that settlement will make a bit of difference/advantage for the bastard album and those dirty money-grubbers. It has been out in the stores and on Amazon for weeks/months. Hell, the same 5 copies have been in my Walmart the whole time. They somehow get distributed around a bit in the dept ;D, but even when they are all put back in place, they just sit there. That ship has sailed. And now all the focus and PR is on Trespassing. So it's all good for Adam, I think. 8-) ETA-Adam sure is getting a lot of mileage out of the Elton John party and pics. 8-) |

I noticed that in the colwel statement they use the term pre-idol music. I wonder if emphasizing pre-idol is part of the settlement agreement. Will they market it that way now? Because of how they tried to mislead originally, no matter how they market it, I won't buy. |

Overdrive
Overdrive is one of two full-metallic modes. There is a great amount of metal in the notes. The character of Overdrive is often direct and loud, like when you shout ‘hey' at somebody in the street. Overdrive can be found in the beginning by establishing a ‘bite'. It is usually used when speaking or singing loudly in the low part and middle part of the voice.
Overdrive is used in popular music when the volume is loud and when a great amount of metal is wanted on the notes, such as in rock music. In classical music it is used by men when they sing medium loud to very loud (f-ff), and women use Overdrive in classical singing only in the low part of the voice if at all. Overdrive is used in everyday life, for example when shouting.
Overdrive is the most limited mode in terms of pitch, especially for women. The upper limit for women is D2/Eb2 and for men is C2. There is no lower limit. All vowels can be used in the low part of the voice, but in the high part of the voice you can only use ‘EH' (as in ‘stay') and ‘OH' (as in ‘so'). The sound colour can, however, be altered to some extent. Although the volume in Overdrive is mostly loud, relatively quiet volumes can be obtained in the lower part of the voice. The higher the notes, the more distinct the loud, shouting character becomes (see ‘Overdrive' on page 106).

Since a bunch of us committed to donating the $100 and there aren't many hours left (7 hours in Central time), why don't we just divide up the rest of the donors and do a certain number an hour to get them all in by midnight? Do we really care if there's enough to match? Except for the readers on this board, I doubt if anybody is keeping up with it. Everybody just keep tweeting and posting on other boards about it and as people get home from work, they'll see it and possibly donate.  Well, I would say either this, or we extend the challenge into March (call it Leap-ish, Adam-style, or WeWillMartchU. Februarch?). I'm happy either way, but it would be a shame to waste all this great matching potential! |

I wonder who owns the other fifty percent of 'Beg For Mercy' I also wonder if they have more of Adam's work that they haven't distributed yet.
I doubt if Adam will get a nickel from the sale of that album. I think from what I read ,he got paid for the session time and that was it.Just glad it's over.. and hope they don't have any more Adam cds.

I've been sending out tweets re charity water. This time around I sent them to everyone I follow -- even Cheeks! Did the same this a.m. and then again around noon. Unfortunately, the only retweet I saw came in from LambritsUK. They're always good about retweeting.
