Why not just mute the volume on your computer before you go to the page? Some people are slower than others.   I did tech support for Dell for a while and I can't even tell you the number of supposed computer geeks who would call in for troubleshooting and missed the simplest easiest things to check. Great example is that if the system is not coming on you have to ask if it is plugged in, but if you do that you get a rant about how "of course it's plugged in do you think I'm a moron?" So the trick is you tell them that you have to have them plug in to a different outlet so you can verify that it's not the outlet that is the problem. So many times I'd get a sheepish "oops, uh I guess it wasn't plugged in". Sometimes the easiest solution is the last one you think of. |
