But seriously, it would be so much fun to have Adam at SXSW. EVERYONE is in town for it. Mainly it celebrates indy music, but there are plenty of A-list big name shows, too (for example, I wouldn't put it past'em to book a Queen concert.) And talk about overcoming the Idol stigma! Crossing all appendages! ETA: mika: if you bring Jack White, y'all can even get the guest room ;D. Nursing a MAJOR crush on that dude. Didja see him wink on SNL the other night? swoonage. I'm multitasking tonight = finishing a project, clicking Adam on Chicago radio, wincing at the Voice - so please forgive me dropping in/out - but I saw this post and I had to comment. MWP -- a rare OMG for this!! I have been obsessed with the song/video for Love Interruption (w/Ruby Amanfu) since it came out. And now I'm replaying my DVR'd SNL - they sounded amazing and that's not an easy venue for sound. And YES his happy smile at the end with reassuring 'we nailed it' wink to Ruby kills me - kills me. I tend to go on artist binges and I was on a Chris Cornell kick when Jack stole me back. I even rewatched all of his bits w/Stephen Colbert . Also, to add to comments of our lucky Austin residents - indeed SXSW is more like a less snooty Sundance Film Fest in spirit (with a dash of Burning Man) than a music festival. I've been five times (several yrs ago tho) - initially taken by a friend who had started a long distance relationship w/a musician and she was afraid he would turn out to be a serial killer (or worse-married). Luckily he wasn't either and I got to wander around on my own-it was heaven. So yes - to loop back around - would love to see Adam doing something special at SXSW. Given Adam's magical pheromones - he'd be adopted by the entire scene (indie, corporate - everyone in between) and I know he'd love the whole 24 hr party/spontaneity/breathing music vibe. ohhhh, mannn, we are sooo far of topic now, but I'll justify it by saying there's a new thread so it's okay for us to muddy up the dregs of this one! But yeah, I was blown away by the SNL performance, and his gig with Colbert was absolutely pitch perfect (in a non-musical sense). Ha ha--there are few things I enjoy more than watching Jack White trying to decide how amused he is! Seoulmate: sorry for the delayed response, but I feel a little inadequate--i'm sure mika would give a better answer because he's surely a more legit fan--I wish I knew more about White. But he's an indy-rock artist (?close enough? he's all over, genre-wise, def pop and folk influences too) best known for his music with The White Stripes, a band he formed with his now...ex-wife...(they're a little coy about it all) Meg White. They're biggest hit was Seven Nation Army, but I also love Fell In Love and Hotel Yorba and many others. He's a wonderful weirdo, smart as hell, incredible guitar player, who cultivates a kinda Johnny Depp style (to be facile about it) oddity: bad-ass, slightly dark, slightly pissed off, slightly fucked up, slightly bemused, def. mysterious, but always with a good sense of humor, and still mensch-y and likeable. Here he is on SNL the other night: Oh, and mika, I would so love to see Adam charm the too-tight hipster pencil-jean pants off of Austin! I'm totally confident that you're right, and he'd do it and make it look easy, too. In some ways Adam and Austin were made for each other (hellooo?! Whole Foods Headquarters?!) And I wanna take him out for tacos and queso, dubious ban on white foods be damned! We can juice it up after.

I just emailed my set list for Sonisphere and I immediately got this reply in my email box: Will he be surprised....his email will 'runneth over'!! ;D Me, too ... :D Couldn't resist doing it too, and I'm not even going, lol. But I figure it will be filmed right? So I'll get to see it some day? And I'd just spent about 50$ on itunes on Queen albums and songs pondering this same question just for my own funtimes, so I pressed send. My thoughts weren't a complete set, but some songs I'd love to hear them do: top picks: Innuendo The Show Must Go On Somebody to Love Who Wants to Live Forever (if appropriate) Seven Seas of Rye Keep Yourself Alive Another One Bites the Dust Don't Stop Me Now Under Pressure Stone Cold Crazy Also cool: I Want To Break Free Radio Gaga Hammer to Fall Crazy Little Thing Called Love Princes of the Universe Don't know if 'Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy' or 'Killer Queen' will fly in the venue, but Adam would have a lot of fun with them if he wanted to. Assume they will be included: WWRY/WeAreThe Champions Bo Rap

Adam in the US at MSG in NY. Hopefully not at a stadium because the sound sucks. gelly, you are so f&*king fast with posting everything. I always picture you in a media type room (known as Adam Central) with like 10 computers open to every possible Adam news, videos, pictures, etc. You magically press a button and the latest and greatest appears here on Atop. Thank you so much my friend. I'm with whoever above posted that they don't use cell phones. I have one, but it stays at home and I only use it for phone calls. I'm not on twitter, don't text and have no idea how to do anything but make telephone calls on my cell phone. Don't want to. I admire those who know how to do all of the things you can do with one. I've had an experience of getting together with fellow fans that I met online and they spent most of the time on twitter and the internet instead of talking to each other. It really really pissed me off. I love reading all of the twitter stuff posted here though. I just don't need it in real time, but I love reading everything the next morning. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to post. I could never do anything that would distract me from experiencing a live concert. I've gotta give the performance my total concentration. But, I'm the most unpopular fan who wishes that everyone would sit down, watch and listen. Get up and dance for the up-beat songs, but please be courteous to those of us behind you who want to take it all in. That sounds bitchy. Sorry, but I can't tell you how many times I've politely asked the person in front of me to sit down so I could see and they've called me names, cursed me out, etc. And some of these instances have been when everyone else was sitting down. One bitch called me the "C" word and told me I didn't know how to "rock and roll". Hubby had to hold me back from punching the chick and I was half her size. Sorrrrry, I'm rambling here. Thank you! :D
