It's such a shame that what folks ,other than fans ,are going to hear of these great songs on YouTube,are distorted sound ,poor quality,etc. Misha did a great job with what she had.. but what we have to go through to hear Adam's new songs ,just makes me depressed. GIVE US THE FRIGGIN ALBUM ALREADY IN ALL IT'S GLORY. People expect this from live recordings using personal cameras. This type of recording with distorted sound will not shock people who are non-fans. Most people just wait until they hear a song on the radio to even convince them to check it out. |

Q3, was it you that said earlier that Chokehold may be your all time favorite? I AGREE! Love this song. Please let it be the next single! I hope my bff down in Cullman will find the best audio of this and get her DS to make me a CD of this like she usually does.  Yes, that was me!! I adore Chokehold. But I think Cuckoo may be a mega-hit single -- I this the produced track will be much different and electro -- and that as a dance track this could just be killer. Hard to do a song like that live without backing tracks and do it justice. But I can imagine what it might be like. I played all three tracks for a friend of mine who is not an Adam fan but knows the music business --- he said all three new tracks are better than anything from FYE and that Cuckoo could be a big hit. Maybe it's the horrible sound mix and the band, upon the first listen, I didn't like all 3 songs at all! (please don't stone me!) Then, this morning I gave it a few more listen and I think, I would love the studio versions of Chokehold and Trespassing, as for Cuckoo, I just don't know... :-[ I hope the studio version will change my mind, and I really hope Q3's instincts are spot on 'cuz Adam deserves a smash hit in the US and globally! |

I judge these live performances sort of like poorly recorded demos -- They are live performances, recorded with personal devices and recorded close to the speakers -- so full of distortion. There are no backing tracks, they are being done with limited instrumentation and poorly mixed BUT... When I image them as produced tracks -- I hear something substantially different. ----- There is nothing from disco in these tracks but both Trespassing and Cuckoo are dance tracks -- and they do seem to have a bit of a funky backbeat -- so a bit retro. Looking at current Pop radio -- it is loaded with dance tracks and empowerment songs. Seems to me that Cuckoo and Trespassing will fit right in. ------ Regard rock music -- I sure hope Adam stays far away from it for a while then when he is huge released a consequential rock album -- Right now "no one" is buying rock music. The #1 rock track on US iTunes John Meyer's "Shadow Days" is #21 overall. And the rock charts worldwide are clogged full of reissues. Edited by Q3 to make sense. Thank you Q3! Cuckoo is AMAZING. Genius. I love dance songs!! It's frustrating now to listen my FYE cd when all I want to hear is Cuckoo, Cuckoo, Trespassing, Cuckoo, Chokehold and Cuckoo again. ;D Strut is still my all time favorite tho!!! >:(

My absolutely diletant rating of these three new songs: 1. Chokehold - 10/10 my #1, I like everything about this song, melody, rhytm, lyrics  2. Trespassing - 9/10 energy bomb, positive vibe, very rhytmic, makes you wanna dance all night but I love Chokehold a bit more ;D 3. Cuckoo - 6,5/10 don't stone me please, this song didn't grow on me so much but I guess I will change my opinion as soon as I hear the studio version or HD quality version Yep.. thats exactly what I would have written... only I'm waiting for the production of Cuckoo. I suspect its the production that will make the song. Wasn't there a pause that screamed dubstep (or was that another song)? |

Glad everyone is so jazzed on new music. I'm in the - I think it's pretty good camp but can't tell from the audio quality I have heard... l can't get past the drum mix that overwhelms everything else even adam's voice and were there other instruments?. So yay new music and I like what I can tell of the sinuous chokehold and boppy cuckoo but will have to hold on the flail until I hear the recorded ones (wanders back behind the rocks to wait (im)patiently).
Oh and BTW that isn't meant to be critical of the great gals who recorded it and stayed up late to upload for the fans. Obviously the venue mix was really tough to record - so kudos to stellar fan effort!!!!
