What does splendour on the clothes mean do you think? fanfic anybody? I don't think "Splendor on my clothes" is exactly the lyric there either, but I can't hear Adam clearly enough to come up with an alternative . . . I wish he'd tweet a few lyrics of that one! Thinking about Adam, maybe it's "Spend more on my clothes." j/k.

Based on all our different opinions on the songs, I guess now we see why they had such a hard time picking a single, and we haven't even heard them properly. I think Chokehold would have been better than BTIKM as a first single, myself. Then Cuckoo. This is from pages ago but I'm trying to catch up & had to LOLOL because I was thinking the very same thing. Same on twitter - everyone loves a different song!!! ;D

But it does make perfect sense to me ;D (Come on ladies, use your imagination!)

Sometimes I think about what it must be like at RCA: "Hey, guys, I've got a great idea, let's treat this mini-concert for this magazine launch as a focus group for three potential singles! We'll let it leak out there and see which one everyone likes best!" "Okay, AWESOME idea!!" This morning: "Okay, judging from the fan boards it's split three ways except for a couple of picky types who refuse to commit to anything until they can, you know, actually hear the songs. Is that entitled, or what??? So NOW what do we do????????" The sound you hear is them drawing the single's name out of a hat. Or maybe something more scientific like Rock, Scissors, Paper. Record labels are not going to throw roughly a million dollars at a song the fans pick out. RCA is not in the business to follow any fan group of any of their artists to determine what is a "fan favorite". Fan favorite =/= Radio single RCA most certainly isn't drawing the name out of a hat! They need millions of radio listeners to like this next single. They don't care what song a few thousand fans like- this is strictly business!

A few days ago, most of us were guessing Gareth Pugh because of his answer to that AO question about designers. Posted this the other day ...but on topic again. He muffled/said something in the Houston interview (4:30 range) About "SILVER?? PANTS". I thought the Blonds had cool fabrics and Adam might risk more by going with a "not black outfit"...something that would showcase from miles away in a big crowd. Pic below...they need a fly sewn in so not like tights...to make them more COOL! C:\Documents and Settings\My Pictures\2012\2.jpg He said shoulder pads, not silver pants. But I vote for both! OHHH...yah I vote for both as well. I quite like that Skingraft vest with the extra padding on the shoulders. TA vest give s lots of flexibility. Especially because he gets so sweaty ...all that energy...giving it his best! sorry kept deleting my past post as either the quotes or the pic did not come out right. anyway too late now.

All joking aside -- it is very hard to predict hit songs or hit products. With songs, there are many outside cultural and social influences, and it is impossible to replicate the effect of many, many repetitions in a research environment. It is also impossible to predict what songs will be linked to events in peoples lives, or linked to entertainment events, or resonate in some way. Plus, fans respond differently to songs than non-fans, there are different types of fans. I am leading a multi-year research project in this area right now. It is a fascinating area. ETA: Tigerlily ITA. Labels usually select singles strategically -- and often based on research. Occasionally, a label will listen to fans -- but it is very very rare. For example, Gaga fans put together a mass campaign to get Allejandro released -- but LG supported that release with her royalties.

Neither do I. But I hope that the feeling due to the fact because the music is a mess. I think that I will love Chokehold when I hear a studio version. :-[ As of now I listened to all of the new songs for about half of the running time. The sound is just too crappy (no criticism, I love lady_r for what she did) and - to be honest - his grandpa outfit just ruins the visuals for me 8-) I'm sure I'll love all the songs once I get them with proper top-notch A+ sound and Adam figures out how to match song and "costum". My grandpa never looked like this! I would like to meet some grandpas if they look like this now! brb- leaving my middle aged hubby for hawt grandpas!
