4 singles is kind of my dream right now. But that second one is going to have to do great. And I think it will, I believe all this radio promo is setting the stage for things. You're right! EVERYTHING hinges on this next single! Scary!!! Wait, let me add this. If the album takes off without a Top 10 CHR single that would work for a 3rd single too. But album sales have been so slow for Kelly, despite her huge single, I dunno :-/ I was thinking last night, after hearing Cuckoo and Trespassing, do you think Adam will have 3 albums out. 1) Regular 2) Deluxe 3) Explicit??!!!!!

Adam Lambert has revealed that his new album contains more angst than his previous material. The singer assured fans that they are going to love Trespassing, as it contains "crazy" uptempo dance tracks. Talking about his recent single Better Than I Know Myself, he said: "The first single is great and I love it. It's emotional and it's a great way to connect with everybody's heart -- and to connect that way before the rest of the album unfolds." I’m sure most of you can’t wait for Trespassing. Who can say no to dance tracks from Adam.more

Maggy @maggy_97
Leading actors of "Türkisch für Anfänger" are doing the "Bänd-Scheiben-Vorfall" on @radio_ENERGY right now. They're playing #BTIKM!!! :D \o/
The actors said they didn't know him before. They were told he's famous and makes good music.
And they keep talking about Adam, saying they googled him and found out that he's indeed famous and successful and apologized to him. lol

Chicago people---If we don't hear anything Monday about a radio visit with WTMX then I think maybe it would be an ok idea to tweet (or even email) the station asking about it. Let them know Adam is in town (which, actually, they are probably already aware of) and just ask if he will be visiting the station. I know for a fact that Adam's call-in to the station when he was doing Oprah was COMPLETELY last minute, and due, in large part to fan interest.
What do people think? Maybe something will be announced on Monday, and it will be no biggy. But, I don't like that the only announcement for Chicago is a LiteFM station. This really doesn't help Adam a whole lot.

The simple reason is I believe that Chokehold was not finished. The song was not played for any media and the only reason we know anything about it was that Adam described it to Byron Cooke at the first media day. Plus I really think everyone is totally discounting Adam's own professed reason for picking BTIKM which makes perfect sense as an introduction to the concept of the album's duality. I can't think of any other song yet described that would serve to introduce the concept of the album as a whole. If you pay close attention all of the promo has been more geared toward introducing the album rather than pushing a particular single. BTIKM sets up the talking points of the album perfectly so that it gives Adam the opportunity to sell the album concept as a whole. Adam IS more of an album artist than most Pop stars are after all. The same was true during the FYE era as Adam always talked more about the album as a whole than he ever did about any particular single. Regardless of how BTIKM does on radio it has been the perfect vehicle to reintroduce Adam's vocal talent through these intimate performances and provide the perfect talking point for the album itself. As a PR vehicle for this project I think it has been perfect. And of course the video sets up the duality of the album perfectly as well. I agree with you. Not to mention that if radio promo was to include mini-acoustic perfs, BTIKM works well for that, so. The only thing I'm wondering about is A) whether BTIKM is doing as well as they figured it would (i.e. if they meant it only to be a bridge/intro song that they weren't going to pour a ton of effort into pushing, then is it doing ok?) and B) whether there will be another single released before album release. My guess is yes, and then the whole radio promo trip is paying forward for the next song, yeah? I keep thinking about what Adam said about the politics of radio play. Kind of the first time he's really spoken so openly about that. Would love to know more about what obstacles he's facing this time around, and particularly what he meant about the demographics thing. It's very clear to me that he wants to be a pop star, and yet BTIKM isn't a pop song. The decision-making around it is very much a mystery to me.
