Hey did anybody write down Trespassing Lyrics? This is the last copy of the lyrics I saved...may be more current lyrics after Jezebel? Haven't had time to check these against that most recent performance. Well I was walkin for some time When I came across this sign Sayin "who are you and where are you from?" We don't like when visitors come. "No Trespassing" that's what it said At least that's what I could read. No Trespassing? Yeah, my ass! Wait till ya get a load of me! I ain't got BS in my bag That's the one thing you can believe My heart is gold, my body is lax Come on baby, can't you see? Well I was walkin for some time When I came across this sign Sayin "who are you and where are you from?" We don't like when visitors come. "No Trespassing" that's what it said At least that's what I could read. No Trespassing? Yeah, my ass! Wait till ya get a load of me! Wait till ya get a load of me! ETA: What I'm looking for is ACCURATE lyrics to CHOKEHOLD! Rabbit has them almost figured out except for the fifth section.

Why do I think there must have been better choices than BTIKM for getting radio airplay?
BTIKM is a ballad (I think it is 82-83 BPM) -- Note: WWFM was 93 BPM making it a mid-tempo song. Adele's RRITD 105 BPM. Kelly's MKIA 96 BPM. Ballads are tough to get on pop radio -- and really why would a party show like SNO play a ballad?
BTIKM is a beautiful album track but IMO not a great radio single.
Setting aside my personal likes and dislikes -- Adult Pop tracks that are ballads typically deliver an over 30 audience, dance pop tracks deliver an under 30 audience. Hence my conclusion that Cuckoo -- a fun, party dance-pop track would have gotten more pick-up from CHR stations than BTIKM.
>> If you made me Queen of RCA, and give me a time machine, I would have found a great mid-tempo song for the lead single for Trespassing. If they hired me now, I would come back with a dance-pop party song because they already did BTIMK. But alas, I am not Queen of RCA.
There were issues with Adam getting airplay in 2009 because he was openly gay and the first single was S&M themed. But eventually WWFM got added by hundreds of stations with no audience or Christian right backlash.
This cycle, there is no sign that US radio is "avoiding" Adam in any way -- he has done several CHR Radio interviews without getting even a spin for BTIKM forget about a playlist add. What does it mean when a show like SNO gives Adam tons of airtime but doesn't play BTIKM? Also, just my opinion. But Z100, KIIS, Ryan Seacrest, SNO, etc have broadcast interviews with Adam but not played BTIKM.
Adam has no problem getting airplay in Canada but BTIKM only has one Canadian Pop add and last I looked that station is not playing it.
I still wonder why RCA picked this ballad for Adam's lead single. Finally, often these discussions are hypothetical but this time is different. We'll find out what happens when RCA releases the UK single and the second single in North America. I expect it will be an upbeat track.

I agree, he needs 2 upbeat songs in a row, then maybe a ballady song. Let's hope single #2 does REALLY well so that we get that 3rd single! I am actually hoping for 4 singles. I know this is being way overly optimistic, but I hope the album does well enough to get 5-6 singles. From the media blogs and Adam, they talk about Cuckoo, Trespassing, Naked Luv, NCOE as being possible singles, and then there's the ballady single as should be a song like Chokehold or even Underneath, if it's good enough to resonate people as in a Someone Like You vibey way. So when you add in BTIKM, that's at least 6 singles. But I know that Adam will only get that, if the album stays in the Top 200, mainly Top 50 for a very long time. So here's hoping. 5 or 6 singles is Katy Perry territory. You only get that if you are selling 2-4 million per single. Each single has to be a #1 mega hit smash! At this point, we just need single #2 to be something uptempo that makes it to the top 15, at least, on CHR. If that happens, then we will see another single, but that will probably be it.

I agree Q3 about radio. I do not think they are resistant this time around. I think they want to play Adam and it is just that the big Pop stations do not like BTIKM. My biggest clue is Z100 not adding it. I am backing BTIKM 100% and I really do really love the song. I will continue to request and buy every single new product of BTIKM (remixes) that comes out, until Adam tells us otherwise. Just like Adam, I am a 100% "company man!" (Adam being my company.) But, I have to admit, that until I heard the Brad Walsh remix this morning, I hadn't fully reazlied how that plodding drum beat of Dr Luke kind of drags down the song. I never realized how "light" this song could sound.
