5 or 6 singles is Katy Perry territory.  You only get that if you are selling 2-4 million per single. Each single has to be a #1 mega hit smash! At this point, we just need single #2 to be something uptempo that makes it to the top 15, at least, on CHR. If that happens, then we will see another single, but that will probably be it. I think 5 to 6 singles is a stretch but 3 singles seems likely in the US and Canada if #2 is a hit -- and IMO that means sells over 1 million US and get Pop airplay in the Top 20 on CHR. ETA: I think Adele may get a 5th single because they just released #4. Her management or label (I forget which) recently said this is her last single. |

Dare I say that this would get played on Top 40 and I like it better than Dr Luke's production? (I haven't read past pg 3 yet) ;D Brad is a genius remixer. He never , messes with the essence of the song, like some remixers do. And the beginning is brilliant!!! Go, go, go go! Leave, leave, leave, leave! Is there another link to the remix? The one above no longer works.. :-/ |

Not only is Adele killing it week after week, but One Direction is releasing on 3/20/12. And the amount of publicity these kids are getting is insane. They are everywhere, so my suspicion is that Adam would again have ended up in slot #3 at that date. Anyhow, it is water under the bridge, we do not have to worry about that anymore. Now the question just becomes, who will he have to contend with, once that date is finally set? Does anyone know where to look up the major album releases planned for April and May? I don't expect Adam to be #1. I am hoping for sustained sales! And he needs the singles for that to happen. |

Sorry..just means the finished product will even be better!!  |

Re Allison's wedding - I was thinking Adam will sing and Tommy will accompany him - the reason Tommy was with him yesterday instead of Kevin. Just a guess. Now if only the guy at the airport would have said where they were headed... ;D On the radio interview yesterday, Adam said that he would stay in Nashville last night, so it's possible that Sauli's flying in from LA yesterday. And this morning they both fly to where ever that Allisan's wedding is going to be. These are groups of singers and musicians, I don't think they will need Tommy to be there. I'm pretty sure one of them can play for Adam. ;D Well, unless she is getting married in DC (doubt it), I don't think Adam is going. Since he just arrived here, there is pretty much no way he is leaving again for a wedding and then coming back for Monday's promo events. I sort of doubt he would have been singing at her wedding anyway. To me, that would seem sort of weird. |

So, according to Brad Walsh, the BTIKM remix is not the official one but a version he was working on? I'm not a huge fan of remixes, but if Brad Walsh does one, I always listen. He is masterful. I went away from watching the vids of the new songs with a feeling like I had been trying to put a puzzle together but many of the important pieces were missing. So, for me, I'm going to tough it out and wait until the CD is released to really feel these songs. Since Adam has specified so many times that Trespassing, etc. are funk, synth, electronica..I am going to wait to give them a clean listen. He talked about wanting people to get the full effect of the layering they had worked so hard on. So, actually, I was quite surprised he would introduce 3 singles at a gig with no professional videographer. (No offense to the vids that were taken  ). For being such a perfectionist, that quite shocked me that he would bring the 'Trifecta' to light this way. Guess he's just an excited guy..and he has to wait for logistics now. I feel his pain. Oh, but seeing him dance again..thank all the stars that Adam bought new shoes and left the medges at home. Loved seeing him dance and really getting into his new music. Another weird thing and I'll shut up. Media sources are now reviewing these videos. Adam has been so particular and the media gets fan vids. Bless the fans who did take vids..this is not about you. I just don't get this whole thing. Confused, that's all.  This is a serious question. When is the last time media reviewed a fan vid of a performance of a new song? I heard that Gaga had actually performed You and I live before her album was even out and I know other artists have performed new songs live before releasing them. So seriously has the media done this with other artists? |
