Thank you for a great essay NoAngel! I love all sides of Adam, glittery or non glittery. I must say though that this t-shirt & jeans Adam is melting my heart. I think that when we finally get the new album in our shaking little hands, we are going to laugh and cry and dance and sit still and wonder. We are going to feel Adam. ETA: Yay, new pics & Sauli is with Adam. I'm glad they get to spend some time together. YES! to everything you wrote! This is such an exciting time for us! I love this darling man.

NoAngel, thanks for my Sunday guilty pleasure. Brilliant and insightful. Happy birthday to those celebrating today and to those I have missed. The last few days have been a blur and I am still processing everything. Very difficult to do. I can understand how he blew everyone at the club with Cuckoo and Trespassing. The majority of the peeps at Jezebel was not familiar with Adam and his music but were excited and looking forward to his performance (my casual conversations with many of the guests there). They absolutely loved the new songs and were dancing their butts off. My vote is for Cuckoo to be the next single. As soon as he started singing the first notes, I could not help but dance. So infectious and it stays with you. Next topic: Those going to the Listening Party Smokey and I are hosting, please check your emails with important information. Less than 2 weeks away - we will dance to the new tunes!!!! Happy Sunday everyone

I love NoAngel's essay. Here's the thing though, during GNT when Adam was doing all those radio visits along the way he also dressed in T-shirts and jeans except for the ones that happened right before show time. I do remember that at EVERY ONE of those where he showed up in normal clothes the DJ's were taken aback and expressed surprise that he wasn't all Glammed up. He tried to get across the point that he doesn't were stage clothes in real life (except when he does LOL) but it just didn't seem to translate. I think THAT is what made him realize that the only part of him that was coming across was the stage persona and that he needed to somehow be a real person to people. I know at one point he kind of commented on the fact that Gaga never lets anybody see behind the mask and that he thought she needed to let people in a bit more. I think what he found was that as great fun as the OTT was it tended to be what stuck strongest in people's heads and that wasn't always to his advantage. He's done the wild thing and spread his wings as he put it but now he needs us to SEE that there is more to him than that OTT wild child. WE get it and he knows that but the general public hasn't looked that deep. Trespassing will get the general public to see the "boy next door" under the guyliner the way that we have from the beginning and in many ways the depth of our passion and support has given him the security to do that.

Do you all think he played the real tracks ? Not the ones from Nashville? why does he hate us? He didn't perform or play the tracks in Nashville.. I don't think :-/. But he performed them live in Atlanta. And now in DC Adam played the studio versions of the tracks. Which is I think is good. He promoting his own songs and from what I've heard DC is a very tough market. Now the owner of the club let Adam DJ-ed his own songs. I think by doing this himself, hopefully the club & the DJ there will help promoting his songs by playing it when the album is released

Love your essay! I think smart is sexy and Adam is one smart man! I think it was very smart of Adam to play the tracks at a a gay club. I'm sure club owners spread the word to each other and positive buzz is building in this circle.
A couple of things I've been thinking about. I wonder if the fact that he is freely playing the new tracks now as opposed to Trespassing in Europe is that now final decisions have been made. I hope we are close to an album release date announcement. Another thing that I am curious about is the Bruno Mars song. Adam had already done vocals for it before for it to be heard by London peeps. Since he was recording in the studio the other Monday obviously more is being done to the song than just production chances. I hope maybe he changed up the vocals some and gets some writing credits!
