Love your essay! I think smart is sexy and Adam is one smart man! I think it was very smart of Adam to play the tracks at a a gay club. I'm sure club owners spread the word to each other and positive buzz is building in this circle. A couple of things I've been thinking about. I wonder if the fact that he is freely playing the new tracks now as opposed to Trespassing in Europe is that now final decisions have been made. I hope we are close to an album release date announcement. Another thing that I am curious about is the Bruno Mars song. Adam had already done vocals for it before for it to be heard by London peeps. Since he was recording in the studio the other Monday obviously more is being done to the song than just production chances. I hope maybe he changed up the vocals some and gets some writing credits! The version played for press in the UK was basically Adam's demo of it not a final version. At that point Adam was not sure if he was going to record the song for the album. Apparently they then got Dr. Luke on board with producing and he was able to schedule studio time WITH Bruno to record the final vocal which is what was done last Monday. We don't know at this point if they have finished the final mix of the song or not. |

Thanks y'all for the lovely birthday wishes.. You make me feel so GOOD. Did I dream this or did some DJ from Z100 NY,get angry at us or Adam and say he wouldn't play Adam's music? I'm always checking out my sanity.Also RCA seems to have no balls. Didn't they delay both Kelly Clarkson's album and David Cook's album for a long while ,before they let them out?I remember fans kept saying where's David's album. I believe RCA made him change the songs,finally when the album came out ,it had lost momentum. Adam will never let that happen. My personal and probably wrong feeling is that Adam has had it with the stalling and is going public to pressure RCA to move. Especially in regards to his own music.Just my gut feeling... IMHO I think we need to ask RCA to get out Adam's music...where is ED??? Is this really happening ? That Z100 mad at the fans and Adam so they won't play his song? I must've scrolling the pages too much so I didn't read this before. Did they tweet it or something or say to anybody?? I read in yesterday thread that I think discussion between Q3, myspenser and other members that radio wanted to play Adam song, they just aren't really into BTIKM not Adam or fans. :-/ :-/ Oh.. Hmm, a lot of us seems to be speculating, thinking that Adam is being sort of a rebel, trying to pressure RCA into releasing a different song for single, but has anyone thought that maybe RCA is alright with this, or a part of this too?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember that Clive Davis had Alicia Keys back when she was just coming out, she was playing her music in underground clubs, as well as i remember Lady Gaga doing the same thing.
Maybe it's a strategy thing, letting the song spread by word of mouth, seeing what the people respond too, getting the word out about the music amongst peers, amongst the people, other then just the too hip, or stuffy music critics.
Just a thought..

Then Toby douchebag kind of made it worse by saying the fans didn't want contests they wanted him to play the damn song and Mo Bounce said something like forget it. Don't know if he really was mad but it Toby didn't fucking help matters and I felt like slapping him up side the head. I felt like he was pissing the guy off on purpose under the gise of supposedly standing up for the Glamberts. The whole thing was a bunch of bullshit. I do follow Mo Bounce even though I'm not in the area and I just tweeted to him that I wasn't surprised people unfollowed because if we followed EVERY media person Adam dealt with we would never be able to read our feeds. |

Is this never ending radio promo Joe-King of radioNothing's big radio strategy? I'm sort of baffled at this promo and what it is suppose to be doing. ??? I think this tour will pay off big time! I remember discussing this last year and thinking that if he could just criss-cross the country, he'd charm the radio peeps one by one. We all know that once he's in he owns your heart.  Yeah.. Joe King handled Kris promotion at Jive 2 years ago so I think he made him did the same. Two years ago, we're wondering why radio played Kris's song more than play Adam. It's crazy schedule but I think, the DJ at the stations know him and met him personally now and hopefully they will support him and play BTIKM and his next singles. Also I think Adam met some of the bigwig persons from the Cumulus Corp in Atlanta. |

Um, actually it was the Z100Mobounce guy. After the Meet & Greet a lot of Adam fans that followed him for that, unfollowed him right after, and he complained about. Some cray fan was like, why don't you play Adam's new song BTIKM, and he responded with, that it's not up to him, or never, or something like that. I think Tobey got into it too. So...i don't know..but the Mo guy is just a DJ so I don't know.. |
