Is this really happening ? That Z100 mad at the fans and Adam so they won't play his song? I must've scrolling the pages too much so I didn't read this before. Did they tweet it or something or say to anybody?? I read in yesterday thread that I think discussion between Q3, myspenser and other members that radio wanted to play Adam song, they just aren't really into BTIKM not Adam or fans. :-/ :-/ Oh.. Happy Birthday ;D There was an exchange a while back with Mo Bounce from Z100 where he complained about Adam fans unfollowing him on twitter after the M & G contest was over. Then Toby douchebag kind of made it worse by saying the fans didn't want contests they wanted him to play the damn song and Mo Bounce said something like forget it. Don't know if he really was mad but it Toby didn't fucking help matters and I felt like slapping him up side the head. I felt like he was pissing the guy off on purpose under the gise of supposedly standing up for the Glamberts. The whole thing was a bunch of bullshit. I do follow Mo Bounce even though I'm not in the area and I just tweeted to him that I wasn't surprised people unfollowed because if we followed EVERY media person Adam dealt with we would never be able to read our feeds. Z100 has no issue with Adam Lambert or with Adam fans. If they had a problem with Adam they would not have put his interview on the radio. The have not added BTIKM -- which makes them just like the vast majority of CHR stations in North America -- it is a ballad. ----- Mo' Bounce had a contest to follow him and get passes to see Adam -- he got a lot of follows: Z100MoBounce Mo' Bounce on Z100 Holy twitter, batman. Everyone at Z100 is a pro and they know this just represents a few thoughtless fans. ----- I think Toby was trying to help but was ineffective/misunderstood/messed it up even more and really should not be trying to explain Glamberts. ----- In any case, there is no issue with Z100 and Adam Lambert. |

I've got to admit there is a real allure to Adam in a club when he does that possessive, enfolding thing.
especially because we know he is a incredibly sweet and loving and sane person as well.
Its all too hot for me to handle.

I have a question for the techie people here! How does Adam play his album cuts for the club? Are they on his phone? Does he carry around a drive with him? How does that connect to the DJ booth? (And since we know what hotel he is in, how much $$ could we raise in one day to bribe a maid to find that thing?!) ;D |

In answer to the remix question -- remixes are often released by labels to make more money from the original recordings. They cost little to produce - the remixers usually work for free - and with digital releases their is almost no manufacturing cost. Although they rarely sell much. Dance Club DJs make remixes to differentiate themselves and make long versions of danceable music. They are sometimes used as a PR effort like Rhianna-Chris Brown, and Lady Gaga have used them. I figure they need to get BTIKM Remis out before they can release another single. I like dance remixes -- but ballad remixes don't usually work that well for me. I want to dance to Cuckoo, not BTIKM Remixed. JMHO YMMV. ETA: I cannot remove Quu3 from the birthday calendar -- so I guess my Twitter account can have a birthday!! |

I would expect that the DJ could connect to any sort of media to play the songs. Just like you would plug one of those into your laptop. The DJ's play from a computer from what I've seen. |

I love NoAngel's essay. Here's the thing though, during GNT when Adam was doing all those radio visits along the way he also dressed in T-shirts and jeans except for the ones that happened right before show time. I do remember that at EVERY ONE of those where he showed up in normal clothes the DJ's were taken aback and expressed surprise that he wasn't all Glammed up. He tried to get across the point that he doesn't were stage clothes in real life (except when he does LOL) but it just didn't seem to translate. I think THAT is what made him realize that the only part of him that was coming across was the stage persona and that he needed to somehow be a real person to people. I know at one point he kind of commented on the fact that Gaga never lets anybody see behind the mask and that he thought she needed to let people in a bit more. I think what he found was that as great fun as the OTT was it tended to be what stuck strongest in people's heads and that wasn't always to his advantage. He's done the wild thing and spread his wings as he put it but now he needs us to SEE that there is more to him than that OTT wild child. WE get it and he knows that but the general public hasn't looked that deep. Trespassing will get the general public to see the "boy next door" under the guyliner the way that we have from the beginning and in many ways the depth of our passion and support has given him the security to do that.[/b] As part of his Glam look in River Rock Vancouver, he wore a sparkly tee shirt with QUEEN emblazoned on it. Birthday present from pals so he was actually wearing their love. Who knew back then just how prophetic that shirt was going to be ! Ermmm... maybe the genius Mr GNAFL?
