Oh that's right, because shows like Ellen and Leno are pre-taped. (Although maybe there are others, which are live)? I just wondered what he might sing instead. I remember the kids in Majors & Minors sang "I didn't even care" instead of "I didn't give a damn". Even with live shows like Idol there's a tape delay so they can bleep if they need to. As for censored CDs, what I know is that usually on iTunes you can choose to get either the "clean" or "explicit" version of songs with potentially ~offensive lyrics. ITA that "ass" would be fine, but I'm willing to bet he will sing the "non-explicit" version of "Cuckoo" for TV. There is just too much risk with trying to work "fuck" onto a prime time broadcast. After all, much of the legal fallout from the AMAs was because a delay operator blew it and Adam got the blame. Trying to blur and bleep out an obvious lyric will pull focus from the performance, I think. Cee-Lo performed the "Forget You" version of "Fuck You" 910,737 times on TV and it makes sense like that. I think Adam will likely substitute damn or something. And having the kids substitute "care" for "damn" was a little ridiculous, IMO. They should have said "darn," but they were being WAY cautious because they are kids, but still thought that was lame. And "I don't give a care" sounded so silly. |

I never heard of a censored CD (which doesn't mean they don't exist, of course). I thought consoring is exclusive TV/radio territory. If you could look at US i-Tunes (not sure if you can since you are in Israel) there are lots of songs with 2 versions. P!NK's Fuckin Perfect is a good example. There were 2 versions to download. I never knew that  . Well, live and learn... ;D |

The only "clean" CD's I have ever seen for sale are through Wal-Mart and are manufactured specifically for them. The regular editions sold everywhere else just say "includes explicit lyrics" or something on the label.
Don't know why anyone would want the Wal-Mart version though...
