Bit OT: Just came home from Nightwish concert. I have been a fan since they started, and enjoyed the concert. But, but.... Something was missing, and I don't think it was due the band, but due the fact, that I have lately listened mainly Adam. So anything else is so much less. This makes me kind of sad. I know what you mean. I went to see Kelly Clarkson a few weeks ago. She was awesome, the crowd was great, the sound was great, my seats were great, the songs were great. However.... There was soooo much missing. Where was the electricity/anticipation/excitement? It was enjoyable, but completely flat for me. No tingling/buzzing/wonderfulness afterwards. Just, meh. We are spoiled forever!!!! |

I think it's the singing. After listening to Adam, many (most?) singers sound quite inadequate live. Plus there is so much emotion in Adam's singing. I find emotion in some of the instruments in Nightwish's music, surely not in singing (Finlandia always makes me cry). And of course Nightwish and Adam are very different genres. |
