gelly... I now got that Death on Two Legs on my blackberry that I carry with me when I walk/jog for exercise ;D. I thought the lyrics were hilarious. I've read though in one of the articles that the manager Freddie was mad about and wrote this song in reference to him sued Queen for ruining his reputation because of this song? Did Queen drop this song from the album because of that? But anyway I thought the lyrics were appropriate after such a dramatic intro - sort of a vampire/dracula opening scene ;D and love Brian May's guitar riffs and the overall composition of the melody...thanks for suggesting it.  Ohh gabby I'm so happy you like the song! :D Yes their previous manager sued them (although it's not a direct reference) for this but the song was never dropped. It's the first song from "A night at the Opera" . That's how the whole album starts. ;D Here are more hilarious info from Wiki. Look at how Freddie usually introduced the song ;D "Death on Two Legs (Dedicated to...)" could only be referred to as Freddie Mercury's hate letter towards Queen's ex-manager, Norman Sheffield, who is reputed to have mistreated the band and abused his role as their manager from 1972–75. Though it never made a direct reference to him, upon listening to the song, Sheffield attempted to sue the band for defamation, and this revealed to the public the subject of the song. Sheffield later admitted that it probably gave the band an incentive to dedicate the song to him after he decided to sue them. During live performances, Mercury would usually re-dedicate the song to "a real motherfucker of a gentleman", although this line was censored on the version that appeared on their Live Killers album in 1979. Other than on the version of said live album, he'd said it was dedicated to a "motherfucker I used to know". |

Hi All. Been awhile since I posted. But I read & listen every day. Love love love all that is happening with Adam now & these past 2 months or so. Loved seeing him at Elton's table. He looked so dapper & Sauli by his side too. Love the acoustic BTIKM performances. Finally got to play the EMA performance for my sister sitting at a table outside of a Starbucks recently....she brought her laptop so I could pull it up for her. I had her bring the ear phones so she could hear it well. I didn't care that I couldn't hear it with her...I know it by heart. She had the biggest smile on her face for the entire performance. She went with me to the Dec 16th GNT show in LA tp keep me company. She came away a fan....even texted her daughters that she is now an Adam Lambert fan. So loved that show!
Back to present...loved the Atlanta show. And must agree with whoever mentioned his belt. Honestly that was the first thing I noticed...love the belt. Thought the outfit was perfect. I do think he seemed a little distracted tho & from what is posted here it could have been the sound or lack of sound that was troubling him. The new songs are so good. I ordered the deluxe CD long ago. Can't wait to hear it.
Lastly, the reason that prompted me to post tonight. About making out at the club last night. To me, I am somewhat relieved that pictures have not come up showing this. I guess it feels like the ultimate intrusion to me. And maybe the people at the club were showing him respect in not taking photos. I don't know....maybe I am all wet on this. Oh well....at least it did prompt a post & it feels great to be typing my note to you all right not.
I love it here at ATOP. It is the best part of my day usually. A big thanks to all of you who bring so much info, fun & news for all of us. Love to all. SherriEllen
