I'm with you... coz he's been leaving the idol for 3 years now : . They should forgot the Idol fanbase.. coz some of them wants him to sing rock or Mad World.. and some of them don't like pop Adam. :-/ Let me add, that I do not in any way think Adam is being puppeted or forced to dress in a certain way. No, I think he truly has more self confidence and believe when he says he may have used all the make up to hide behind. I am merely criticizing RCA for not letting the man pick his own single and for thinking that they can in any way win back the Idol audience. And since, that qote is not coming directly from Adam's lips, but being relayed by someone, I am going to step back a minute, take a few deep breaths and Go Whack a Mole!!!!!!!!! ;D One thing is clear -- Adam is no one's puppet. And his style is his choice. His brand is being managed by Adam. The single, however, for Adam and everyone else signed to a standard major label contract is picked by the label. IMO (and I am biased) RCA is a great label for Adam and the best place within Sony Worldwide for him to be signed. I have never been convinced that UMG would have been any better for him and there are no other real global labels -- and he needs to be with a global label. ---- Now where are our eyewitness reports?????

This... RCA reminds me of my daughter. I once described her as a type of kid that used to put forks in outlets.. gets zapped, then tries the spoon.. only to go back with the butter knife. Learns the long and hard way. You'd think that they would have figured out by now that Idol fans move on. Definite fools errand. This is just my opinion but I'm an idol fan and I haven't moved on. I assume the majority of us here probably found Adam on idol and we're still here. The trick isn't shedding the idol fans, it's keeping them and building on that core fanbase. That is the issue that most idol artists face, they never expand beyond that core fanbase and then that fanbase dwindles. I get why RCA would continue to court the idols fans...they are fierce in their loyalty when they find an artist that they really connect with. I don't mind RCA wanting to keep the Idol fans, we are a pretty loyal group. Although, I have to admit, I only watched Idol the first season and the 8th season. I don't really understand the stigma of being an idol fan. I'm sure Britney's and Xtina's and Timberlake's Disney fans are still loyal -- a manufactured fan base is what it is. I don't understand this caste system when it comes down to what TV show you sprang off off.

Even if he can get back their support from BTIKM, they will crucify him again when he sing/perform the sexy /OTT stuff on radio/tour. He needs fans outside Idol who does not bother by his style. Who think of that strategy ??? dumb Well, actually, I think it's the back door concept. Let them see him for himself, the man under all the glitter and makeup. So that when he slowly but surely go that way, people will be more accepting of it. Kind of like how he was on Idol. He didn't have the whole cage, and feathers and rhinestones on his eyes at the beginning. He was toned down at the beginning, but had a little bit of edge to himself, so by the time he got to the finale, it was just an "oh, laugh that's Adam," instead of "OMG, that crazy, OTT, gay dude."

I wonder when Sauli flew home? Anyone know? Has there been any clue as to the fan response for tickets to the meet and greets?

My second post ever is to tell you guys that I finally heard Better Than I Know Myself on San Diego radio on Sophie radio -- billed as Adam Lambert, our hometown boy. So odd that he isn't played all over the SD radio -- not even on our Star station.

melliemom -- ITA Adam seems to know how to play the game and win more than not. --- In the end, RCA is not totally stupid. Look at Kelly. If she would have release her album in March 2011 like she and her fans wanted, she would have been buried under Adele and Katy Perry and Rhianna and Lady Gaga and ,,,,,,, Instead, RCA waited, held back the best single, held the album for nine months and now she had to big hits and the album is still selling. Nothing could have saved Cook's album because it was not very commercial.---- In the end, Adam's real music will be released and if the gods are smiling her will have some big hits. And what god would not smile on AFL???? Sorry, I know this is wrong, but this just had me laughing. It just sounds so wrong, even though it's true.

ETA: I was trying to be nice to Cook who I like -- he will be back. He just put out an album that was not commercially viable. And I did not mean to discuss the Idols, just wanted to say RCA is not all bad.
