The loudness of the guitar may not have had anything to do with the way Tommy was playing. It could have just been how they were miked, which could have thrown off the sound mix. Sometimes on TV--Idol is a prime example--the sound mix will be off and the band will drown out the singer.

There was a fan video posted first where it was hard to hear the singing but in both later posted videos, TALC and Fresh, I find the balance very good. You can hear the chords which are pure, with that I mean all strings are "ringing" in harmony. That contributes to the beautiful singing in a way that I like.

OK, instead of using the "quick reply" window at the bottom of the page, hit the "reply" button that is in the bottom right hand corner of the last post on that page. Voila! A big window to reply in and all the smiley's! Also, if you want to quote someone, on the upper right corner of their post, just click on "quote" and then when that window comes up, be sure you start typing your reply after these words [/quote] Voila!

So Sauli went to DC for only about 24 hours and they managed to squeeze in some sightseeing! Hmmm, impressed! ;D At what minute, in the video, does he say the White House wasn't the reason he went there? Right around 2:55 minutes. He had a very wide smile on his face right after ;D

The interview was cute - I agree. But am I the only one who thinks the mix was off for BTIKM? The guitar was way too loud! <-------too much! Yeah I agree the mix was off and the guitar was way to loud. Keep in mind this was not Tommy's fault. What we are hearing is the feed directly off the audio mixer, and whoever was running it wasn't paying attention to the record mix. The mix that was heard in the room, and the mix that Tommy and Adam was hearing may having been totally fine, as the record mix is completely independent of what they heard, and they were probably not even aware the record mix was not balanced correctly.

Thanks Kanadie. I assumed it sounded different in the room. I can't imagine Adam wanted his voice drowned out by the guitar. So no criticisms directed at Tommy from me. Not about the loudness anyway.

I know I sound better in the am than my voice does later in the day, lol. . he may be trying to find his comfort zone too
