Can someone explain what John Mayer Radio is? What did Adam have to do with it? Sorry I'm monitoring my sick (flu) daughter so I've only getting bits and pieces.

As a musician, I've supported singers by playing guitar, piano and an occasional pipe organ. It's weird to me how Tommy actually seems to turn his body away from Adam while playing guitar. There's no way to be nuanced in a performance or fully support a singer doing that. Kevin does the opposite - he turns in toward Adam and maintains close visual contact. It's all about the singer IMHO and the best musicians support a singer by visually looking at them all the time. Because they have to look for the cue/singer from the singer, especially great live performer like Adam who likes to improvise. He can just improvise on the spot. During the GNT, I've watched that Monte and Issac /LP they've always watched what Adam's doing .. see and waiting for the cue/signal from Adam. |
