They told us to be at the venue NLT 6:00 pm, so I left work at 5:00 and got there earlier than expected at 5:15 (yay for good traffic karma!!). Hoppers FINALLY arrived after her traffic drama - just as the last of the group was heading down the stairs to the venue (it is now around 6:30). See?? See?? Do you see what happened?? SCHUFLY TOOK ALL THE TRAFFIC KARMA AND DIDN'T LEAVE ANY FOR ME !!!  |

This is my first time posting here. I have been lurking here for months and loved the friendly bantor and comments on this site which is why I finally decided to join. Unfortunately, lately I am seeing a lot of negative comments regarding Adam's band (i.e. Tommy) that have me thinking maybe I shouldn't be a part of this group. This is becoming just like what is going on on Twitter and is very unsettling. I come to this site to read positive comments, not negative. I understand that some people like Kevin more than Tommy and vice versa. I like them both - Kevin as the keyboardist and musical director and Tommy as the guitarist. They are both very talented. They also happen to have different personalities. So what! They are both part of Adam's band and neither deserve any negative comments (i.e. "heavy handed"). I would love to be able to continue to come to this site and read about all of the awesome things that are happening with Adam and read all of the love we have for him. This site is supposed to be all about supporting Adam right?! I hope this site can stay positive and not become another Twitter like forum. Thanks! Welcome and since you pin-pointed my comment (ie heavy handed) allow me to say I like Tommy. I thought he was fine on bass. I'm sure he's fine on electric guitar but for me (personally) his acoustic guitar work isn't as nuanced and subtle as Kevin's and IMO the songs just sound better that way. It gives them an enhanced vulnerability and emotion. I think Tommy does a great job and I actually appreciate his accompaniment on guitar a little more than Kevin's. Kevin has great personality and his keyboards and harmony with Adam are stellar, but still enjoy Tommy. He seems to be targeted because of personal issues with some and that's a shame. His demeanor is totally opposite of both Kevin and Adam's but nothing wrong with that. I'd be really curious to know why the pettiness toward Tommy and wonder how long it will be before Kevin pisses off the same people and they turn on him. Maybe a few fan fictions will do the trick. I'm of the opinion if you don't know what you are talking about and your opinion is hurtful to someone, keep it to yourself. #meangirls |

Talking about the band is within the rules, although personally I've never understood the Tommy angst and frequently think its overblown. Is he Brian May's equal? IMO, no. But neither is he a hack.
However, [gentle reminder] members need to be respectful to each other.
Ok to disagree. Ok to scroll. Not ok to snipe.
[wryly wonders if a suit of armor comes standard with an Adam contract]

[grins] Guys - schufly is the one totally responsible for us getting so much time. She would just be uber-atttentive and grin, and stuff just fell into place. ;D
