Haha...everyone seems to have different opinions! I didn't get any sense of Adam being pissed off....I DID find the entire exchange awkward though.....and I DID find the DJ's dogged insistence that Adam sing "We are the Champions" uncomfortable and kinda stupid considering Adam was goofing around and obviously NOT going to sing it (whoah, run on sentance extraordinaire!) What surprised ME was the feeling that the guy DIDN'T bert enough and was a tad (a tad) condescending (patronizing?) considering he was so vocal in his admiration at the KISS concert. ....and yet I'm sure others didn't see it that way at all - 'tis the life of a glambert  So interesting how we each perceive the same event differently. I am in the camp that Adam is joking around with him, not pissed or offended. I enjoyed it. But, mostly, I enjoyed it from the standpoint of a singer. No, Adam does not sing WATC. But, I loved listening to him imitate the "radio voice." That is probably the lowest tone we have heard from Adam, and tells me a bit more about his lowest range as a singer. He just cannot match the resonance that the DJ has in his voice. Yup, Adam is definitely a tenor. |

Watching Adam on this promo tour (looking gorgeous, singing like only Adam can, answering the Q's, bantering the banter, posing for the pics, etc.) makes me think of some of his "Masterplan" lyrics: Wanna see you, touch you, one-on-one Won't stop until we're done We've only just begun . . . . Just take whatchya need I'm an open book So go on and take a look . . . . There's you There's me I feel your energy I hope you'll see Things ain't what they used to be Look at the face You do know that he didn't write these lyrics right? But this does go to show how good he is at picking songs that resonate with him. Ryan Tedder wrote this song and we really don't know if it was specifically written with Adam in mind because I don't think anyone ever asked Tedder about it. This is why I really don't have much of a problem with there being songs on the album that Adam didn't write because if he picks a song to sing it is chosen because he identifies with it. |

Adam handles everything so well and Matty is a good guy. I am actually going to go back and delete what I wrote because I don't think it was a comment that is either making a better world or is necessary.

Or should I have told The Russian Lady café owner when offered to come inside that I couldn’t do that because I am afraid of the fandom ridicule.

He's an older guy who has been in the business a long time and is kind of being a bit of a pain in the neck fatherly. Actually IMHO he gave Adam good advice ,don't mention another radio station..say I have another commitment. |
