Note to one and all: Bookmark this sucker. I know that Adam has performed this song at multiple promo stops without amplification. However, he has always sung into a mic for the station recording. So, tho' you tell yourself it is Adam's voice pure and simple, something in your brain balks at believing that. Here is 100% proof of that awesome voice. NO MICROPHONE. Nada. Zippo. This is how Adam would sound on the couch in your living room, recorded on your cell phone.
No question if he uses auto-tune or does multiple takes to get the right sound, or adds reverb or warmth thru the sound system. ADAM REALLY IS THAT FRICKIN' GOOD. Save this video to show the doubters.

Adam Lambert speaks out on gay acceptance in the US[/color][/size]

Adam Lambert has opened up on gay acceptance in the US, saying that he doesn't feel America would be ready yet for a gay love interest in a music video.
The singer was asked at a special fan get-together in Boston, MA whether he thought the US would be ready for a music video with a gay love interest.
He conceded that he doesn't think the country is ready yet - and said he is trying to balance his fans with his dissenters. He said:
"I don't think they're ready. I think my fans are for sure. I think unfortunately the way things are, especially in this country, is that if someone doesn't like something, they're a lot louder than the people who like it. So sometimes I wonder if it's worth it to create that much of a problem because I feel like that problem will prevent my career and things from moving forward, so I'm trying to keep the balance right now, and I think that's the best thing that I can possibly do - is to make small baby steps, but not freak out the people that have the very loud negative voices."
He concluded: "I don't want to prevent my creativity and my art from reaching you guys by trying to prove a point, so it's a very sensitive thing."

Adam Lambert Gives Behind-The-Scenes Details On “Better Than I Know Myself”
Earlier this week, Adam Lambert visited WTIC/96.5/Hartford to discuss his upcoming album and perform for fans. His sophomore LP, Trespassing will be released March 20. He’ll be at the B96 studios in Chicago today!
Lambert had a hard time saying who he enjoyed working with most for Trespassing,
“I can’t answer that. Everyone was fun! It’s all different experiences, honestly,” he said. “I can’t pick a favorite. Sam Sparro was really fun to work with, Bonny McKee. They were all fun to work with.”
Lambert also enlisted the help of guitarist/producer Nile Rodgers on Trespassing.
Lambert also revealed the details behind the use of a pomegranate in the music video for “Better Than I Know Myself.”
“One of the things we cut out was . . . I was eating popcorn which was not my idea. We ended up cutting [it] out because it looked kind of silly,” he said. “We wanted to have some sort of food on the other side. I was like, ‘Give me a pomegranate.’ It was totally random. Then it looked cool when I crushed it, so we kept it. Who doesn’t have a pomegranate lying around?”

ADAM LAMBERT SAYS SINGING WITH QUEEN IS A ‘COOL GIG’ + NOTHING MORE
Adam Lambert scored the gig of a lifetime when he was asked to sing for Queen at 2012 Sonisphere Festival in Europe. But the former ‘American Idol‘ contestant confirmed that while he is beyond stoked to perform with the rockers, it’s “just Adam doing a cool gig” and nothing more. He is not considering himself to be the heir apparent for the late, great Freddie Mercury.
In a recent chat with a radio host, Lambert celebrated Mercury as one of his top five favorite singers of all time, saying, “It’s not that I am the new Freddie Mercury. I am not there to imitate anybody or be the new anything. I’m just Adam doing a cool gig.” Glambert was being incredibly respectful and careful with his comments to the Washington, D.C.-based radio station.
Now Glambert has the chance to add his own theatrics and drama to Queen this summer.

Adam Lambert stopped by NYC’s Elmo in Chelsea last night to preview a few tracks from his new album “Trespassing” for a select group of gay tastemakers. Even in a crowd dressed to impress, all eyes were on Lambert as he mingled about the room — in part because of sheer height but also because Lambert possesses a personal radiance that borders on dazzling.
When I mingled my way over to Lambert, I couldn’t resist asking what he was listening to right now. It went a little something like this:
ME: So who are you listening to now?
ADAM LAMBERT: Have you heard the new Ting Tings album? ?
ME: Not yet.
AL: It’s really great.
ME: Have you heard the new Macy Gray album of covers ["Covered"]?
AL: No, how is it?
ME: It’s – definitely unusual.
AL: In a good way?
ME: It’s pretty surprising. She does [The Yeah Yeah Yeahs'] “Maps” and [Radiohead's] “Creep.”
AL: I like her other albums, and she seems really nice in person. So you think the new one is worth listening to?
ME: My guess is you’d probably find it either intriguing – or hilarious.
Then Lambert popped over to the DJ station to introduce the tracks from “Trespassing.” First up was the album’s title track, which starts with a great big hand-clapping beat reminiscent of “Holla Back Girl” era Gwen Stefani. My personal favorite track was “Outlaws of Love,” a beautiful ballad that Lambert described as being about the long LGBT struggle for equality. “Thinking about it made me kind of sad. It’s like we could never find our rest, never find our peace,” said Lambert. And, indeed, the track possesses a deep, yearning quality that might have moved me to tears if I was not in a room full of people quaffing cocktails and eagerly shaking along to the album’s more club-ready tracks.
After playing about five songs, Lambert asked for the crowd’s favorite and the general consensus was that “Trespassing” was the biggest hit (though I’m pretty sure I saw Lambert smile when I called out “Outlaws of Love” as my pick). “Thank you for your time. Thank you for your support. This album is for us; it’s for our community,” said Lambert by way of goodbye, excusing himself because he had to rush off to catch a plane to Chicago.
But on his way out the door, he stopped by the table of hors d’oeuvres where I was standing. “My God, these crab cakes are so good,” said Lambert, grabbing one for the road. And I can honestly report that – even when eating a crab cake – Adam Lambert still somehow manages to sparkle.

Q: What do you like about Swedes?
A: I think it's about creativity. And you have Ikea... Haha! No, but when it comes to art and design Swedes are sharp.

A: Indeed! Scandinavians, overall, are very good looking. It's something in the water here.
Q: How was it to be coming out as gay for the whole world?
A: I came out when I was 18 so for me it wasn't a big deal. But there is a big difference in my reality and the rest of the world's reality. But people will always be bothered by something, and some are bothered by this. But that's life!
Q: You have a Finnish boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen. How did you meet?
A: At a nightclub when I was doing a show there, it was over a year ago.
Q: You have a unique style. Have you always been interested in clothes and fashion?
A: Yes, when I was little I always used to play dress up. That has never really changed."
