I have a 'slow day' addition for the board.
I have recently been watching the series from the BBC of "Torchwood". The lead actor in this series is John Barrowman, a Scottish-American (British?) actor who is gay. I looked at more information on him and I found that he participated in a documentary for the BBC called, "The Making of Me". In this documentary they studied John to determine if they could find the 'cause' of his homosexuality.
This is not a negative focus at all, John has been out and proud since he was 24 (he's now 45) and has a husband named Scott. It is really an interesting documentary and John fully participates in the investigation.
Why do I bring this up? Well, it is often mentioned how well Adam uses words. In this documentary, the researchers has found that gay men's language skills correlate with the language skills of heterosexual women (Or was it just women in general? I may be remembering that specific info inaccurately.) I thought that was very interesting. Perhaps this is why we like listening to him "speak words", because he is speaking OUR language. (He does it sooo well!)
Also, children that are gender creative (formerly known as; gender-non conforming, such as boys enjoying girl activities or visa versa) are 75% likely to identify as gay or attracted to their own gender when they are adults.
I think that Adam would likely fit in both of these categories, from what I have read and heard him speak of. Of course I don't know him so I am guessing, but I found this information interesting. The general thought in this documentary is that gayness is inborn.
If you are interested this can be found on You Tube as The Making of Me: John Barrowman (but I was unable to find part 2 of 6 last night.) or at this link :
