Question guys! I've think I've asked this before but forgot, but what is the difference between manual and auto adds. I noticed NAL has 12 adds so far but most are manual. Just curious. Someone will answer better than me but since no one else is here at the moment I'll try. Many stations auto add a song if they have played it 7X (I think) in the past week. Manual add is for stations that haven't played it enough for auto add or haven't played it at all. |

Manual adders add each song manually one at a time regardless of how many times they play it. I understand that manually adders can also choose to occasionally auto-add, too. Saga says that the auto-adds come in at the opening and the manual auto-adds come in in the afternoon. |

Still seriously waiting for an idea of what musically is appealing about that Wallpaper song. I'm really not kidding. It is probably the worst thing I've heard musically in pop radio since I started listening again in the last three years. I am truly truly curious as to what supports that song. I UNDERSTAND the appeal of all those other songs you are mentioning, I am SERIOUSLY asking about this one. Trying to learn, here. Haha. I so agree with your puzzlement on the Wallpaper song. There are many songs on Pop that I don't like but I admit they're catchy. But this one? I looked at the YT comments & people were saying stuff like "I fell in love with this song first time I heard it." And I'm absolutely flabbergasted. I understand fun & catchy but seriously it HAS to take more than a good beat to be a smash doesn't it? I mean, anyone can come up with a beat! And this song doesn't even have a great beat imo. So - WTAF??? Ok.. I ventured to YT, found a "wallpaper" thing with over 2 MIL hits in an MV - a party . the guy in dark glasses and a hat - that one? if it is - this is not a song, it is talking to a simple beat...there is no attempt at any music or singing of any kind.... whoever loves it - it is their problem ;D I don't like BTIKM at all, don't have it on my iPod and will be skipping once the album drops... as a matter of fact I find it annoying musically and even Adam's voice can't save it for me. It can;t be compared to any of the four other album songs that we've heard and I still feel it is a shame they are putting so much promo effort into this song. (and yes, I multi-bought it and I request and I vote... I am a good fan) I sure hope UK gets a different single! IMO (because the label asked me of course) they should come out with the TP as a single to promote TP, the album - immediate association, catchy beast of a song and addictive from the first listen. Re: would I be here if not for THE VOICE - the answer is very simple - NO, I would not. It would be the same as the pre-AI8 season - once the season was over - the contestants were gone as well...  The ADDS ARE GREAT! Will this mean that BTIKM has a chance to move up nicely with the adds on these major stations? Does an add " guarantee" a certain number of spins? |
