Woo fucking hoo! Love my "Adam" friends, the most generous people I've met, truly. My first Adam friend that I met during Idol tour (and have been friends ever since like so many of us) has won the Sacramento radio contest and invited me as her PLUS 1! Acoustic songs and M&G I believe. I'm making it an overnight trip-so excited! YEAH!!!! So happy for you!!!! I'm in the area too. If anyone else needs a +1 for Sacramento, I would love to go! I tried last night too, with no luck. Ended up with a massive headache after three hours of listening to that pounding beat, almost the same in every song! And the stupid station never played Adam once! But I'm thrilled for you Didilynn that you get to go! Hoopla and I will keep trying, we plan to stalk the stations if we don't get tix, so we'll see you there! BTW, which station will you be going to? There are at least two announcing M&G's ... |

I entered one of the contests to see Adam here in Utah, but I'm not holding my breath about winning. One thing that confuses me is that the contest deadline is tonight at 11:59 p.m., and the appearance is tomorrow. So I'm assuming that whoever wins won't be contacted until tomorrow morning. That sure doesn't give a person much notice to get themselves together and travel to the radio station. Never say Never!! I didn't think in a million years I would EVER get to meet him....EVER!!!!!!  |

Ok, random thoughts on the new songs. I am truly ignorant on the complexities of music but I am pretty blown away by whatever it is that Adam did to create Chokehold, a song about not being able to leave a relationship, AND the beat/rhythm/vocals/melody--whatever it is, makes you feel completely trapped in it. It's like one step forward, one step back. Don't know how to explain it but it is crazy good. And in true Adam style, the song is sexy as hell.
Trespassing--This song is pure Adam. He said he was letting us in, and this song is his anthem. Autobiographical. Not crazy about it at the Jesabel concert but LOVE LOVE LOVE it from the showcase. Not sure what makes the difference...Although this song is not even about relationships, in the showcase performance it is purely erotic! It is amazing to me how he can interject so many layers into a song, especially considering how shallow most music is these days.
So excited for May-and am totally zen with it, esp with all the scraps he's throwing us. I am not sure how I will be able to take so much goodness in at one time. Maybe Adam know this and isn't trying to kill us with the wait but rather is easing us into it so we don't explode when the final album comes out.

Hoopla, thanks so much for adding more details about your awesome experience. I think you're absolutely right about the dynamic of the group. Maybe it was the lack of cameras, maybe it was Adam being in a thoughtful/introspective mood, maybe it was that you guys were so attentive and engaged. Probably all of the above. So glad you were there!!! That's a pretty funny story about Adam and Britney Spears. It's so odd that he'd go all star-struck with her. She seems like a pretty fun person and I'd think they'd get along well. I guess we can cross her off the list of people who might be part of the rumored duet...
