Flailing with all of you about May 15!!!!!
I am at the moment mostly absent here, just RL seriously restricting my playtime and unfortunately it is going to get worse before it gets better. For me this new album date is fantastic, because that is when I will come out on the other side of all these house renovations, followed by multiple family visits (which hopefully happen POST renovations :
, yeah, I know ), some own projects and 10000 other little things to just keep things interesting.
But by mid-May, this should be behind me and I can play this album and dance and sing to my hearts content with all of you.
Midwivespal, if Ireland gets the CD by the 11th of May, then we all have the music by the 11th, so you will have at least something to play on your road trip. And as others have pointed out, the good news is, the CD does not only sell in NY and Austin, it also sells at arbitrary places in between. By the way, envy you for the road trip. Such one way road trips, when you have a bit of time to also look around and sightsee and take some backcountry roads on occasion and not just the interstate, can be great and memorable experiences. So enjoy!
I have not even posted yet about the four snippets, have heard them of course. But all has been said. I am also with the majority here, love all 4 tracks, but love Trespassing and Cuckoo just a bit more. I voted for Trespassing in the polls, love the funky, edgy, unique sound the best, but Cuckoo would be just as fine as a single for me.
NL is the song that tacks the closest to the present pop sound and therefore just does not stand out as much or does not alert folks that there is a new Adam sound to be checked out and yes, the lyrics may also lend itself more for a club or party atmosphere or some 'quality time' at home, I just don't see this on some of the US radio programs.
And with NCOE, I actually like the song and for me it does sound like BM and I like his songs (and videos), but not always his voice and so hearing Adam's voice on a BM song is quite fine with me, but I totally agree with everyone: It is a too much continuation of the WWFM, BTIKM - mid-tempo meme. It does not have enough of a beat or hook for a summer hit, it is time to introduce Adam as a songwriter and original artist and the BM storyline is going to overshadow other messages. RCA would look fearful instead of confident and confidence is what they should be showing right now. So, for me the vote is either Trespassing or Cuckoo and I guess, RCA should be able to read exactly that out of all the polls that happened online and it is what UK told them, so I am not sure at this point what the hang-up even could be. Everybody seems to point in the same direction forward.

I still owe some pm's regarding all the Russia stuff and hope to get back to that this weekend. Sorry for the delay....btw, do we have a Moscow thread or only a Sonisphere one? Because I could post some of that in such a thread, if one exists.
