The rumor I heard was that Adam would be performing on Idol on April 5. If they already set that, it would be hard to switch it at this late date, wouldn't it?
Hmm..If this is true, I really hope not. I was hoping that he would perform the later of April, or the release week of his album drop.

I think Trespassing could work if they had early support from Z100 and a few other big markets. It is such a distinctive song, so recognizable and catchy, if it just got good spins, I think everything would taken care of itself. But, it is not what pop is playing these days, so it would need a Z100 to kind of let stations know it's "ok" to play it. This is the type of song that Adam really needs to break-out. The interesting thing for me is that there are quite a few "unusual" songs that get played. You can look at the top 40 charts and see songs that are making a break away and hits a nerve with the listening audience. If you hit it right and it takes off.. they usually make a big name for the artist/group. Its a gamble, but it pays off. |
