Very interesting essay today. Thank you, NoAngel. Adam walks a fine line (and his line, of course, is wonderful to behold....I digress) Do you remember the comment from Eber to Adam on Twitter last year which sort of touches on this? I can't remember if the word "compromise" was used though.
So excited............Adam tonight at the Bing. Some of the die-hards camped out last night in the cold and rain.

but what if you already have ordered???? I ordered like a while ago! so do I order AGAIN? or what No, don't order again unless you want 2 CDs! You will get an e-mail when they have the track list asking you if you want to upgrade to the Deluxe version. This will probably happen in about 3 weeks. It will cost more than the regular because it will have bonus tracks on it. There might be some extras with it also, like a book or something. I would expect that we will get our CDs in the mail on the 20th or a few days before. FYE arrived the Sat. before the release day for me. I received this from Amazon: We're writing about the order you placed on yyy (Order# xxx Unfortunately, the release date for the item(s) listed below has changed, and we need to provide you with a new delivery estimate based on the new release date: Adam Lambert "Trespassing (Deluxe)" New Delivery Estimate: May 21, 2012 - May 25, 2012
We will make every effort to get the delayed item(s) to you as soon as possible. If there are other items in your order, they'll be shipped according to the delivery estimates listed in the order details in Your Account (www.amazon.com/youraccount) at no additional cost. I am hoping for the delivery PRIOR to 5/15 and certainly NOT for 5/25! I ordered from AO as well - so, may that copy will get here on or before 5/15 I want to say that yesterday's thread (I just caught up) was WONDERFUL! It was not long, but so many goodies! Thank you everyone for bringing all the YTs and the news! Maumi's party girls - great pictures, I could ID several of you, but not all - which I would love to do. So, if someone could PM me (only if it is OK with the parties involved of course) I'd be very grateful

OT but some might be interested as it could relate to Adam and his early days in theatre. Back in my college days, I wrote an article about 99-seat theatre in Los Angeles what a treasure trove of talent it was (is) and how it works--compensation, etc. However, 30+ yrs later I have forgotten the details! Here is a link that explains the 99-seat rule for theatres in Los Angeles. www.actorsequity.org/docs/codes/99_seat_plan_06.pdfPage 11 specifically notes rules for compensation. The 99-seat plan allows equity actors to work for nothing, really. These actors do not do this for the pay; it's pretty much volunteer work. They do it to hone their craft and to get noticed, often with the hope that they or the show will get picked up and moved to a bigger venue that pays equity scale. There are so many of these theatres in Los Angeles. I've never seen a 99-seat production that wasn't stellar. Anyway, not sure if I explained that well, but the contract linked is interesting ... At least to a theatre geek.

No Angel you have an interesting article today. A lot of fans would like their favorite artist to create certain works that would sustain their interest in their idol. I think that is why there is like a deluge of unsolicited advise out there. Listening to these opinions is probably not a bad thing, as it is almost like market research. But since these are random thoughts and not scientific research , it can get exhausting for the artist to consider each and every idea. Still there is a value to these , but it is up to the artist and his team to use this to their advantage. I personally do not have a desire to tell Adam what music to create or do. I like my artist to surprise me with a body of work worth the time I would put into enjoying it. I do not even need to worry if I will like it or not. Worrying will erode the enjoyment of the discovery. Art is a journey. Getting to know more about he artist through his music , is in itself an exciting venture. Love this and I agree.

It seems I'm forever playing catch up, and it will get worse starting next month, so I really appreciate this site and the great people on it. I know I will find every bit of news and information here when I get to it!
Lynne and Hoopla really loved your stories of your M&G, felt like I was there. Seeing as so far Canada has been scorned with promo (other than lucky Melisende making it to Seattle - saw you on that youtube girl!) it's so nice that many of you are getting these opportunities and sharing with the rest of us!
Loved the snippets, and for me it's Trespassing and Cuckoo, although I do like the other 2 as well. The friend I went to Puyallup Glam Nation with last year has unfortunately really lost interest in Adam, not sure why, but I keep sending her the best vids and most interesting interviews & Q&A to keep her informed and I played her the snippets last night. She liked Trespassing best.
Always love your musings on Sunday NoAngel Compromise is something we all live with it our lives and who are we to judge anyone's decisions. It's a very personal decision and you live with your own decisions.
Thank you all for keeping me in the loop and part of the ATOP family!

Second this, rabbitrabbit. I have found so much to appreciate by not having too many preconceptions or "gotta have's" - and who doesn't love a surprise? :-)
