Never close your eyes plays in my head again and again. Am I only one really loving that song? LOVE IT TOO! Was going thru my head when I couldn't sleep last night - only song to do that. But I love cuckoo too.

NCOE is very good... at first I didn't like it at all but after reading the lyrics and listening it over and over again... Can't help but like it.
And I think that Cuckoo will be the next single. Yay.

You won't believe it, my friends called me to congratulate, the ones who know how important this is to me. I was so happy and then I logged in to share the news, saw your post and IT MADE ME EVEN HAPPIER!!! Thank you so much :D :D :D On Friday, I had a class with 14-year-olds and they had to choose a song in English, explain their choice, and I would play it on Youtube with lyrics so that everyone could sing along. A girl suggested One by U2 and for a second this thought flew across my mind that it would be a nice chance for me to mention Adam Lambert to my students in a casual manner, see if they knew him and what they thought. So I did, I said OK, we'll play One, but the Adam Lambert version, because I think it's the best, that was what I said. Although I was so excited inside, I put my poker face on and tried to remain calm. And no, most of them hadn't heard of him ! I wouldn't say that I was devastated, but a tinge of disappointment was definitely there. But they did love the song and expressed appreciation of his voice!!! As Adam would say, BABY STEPS:))) Re compromising: I really think that Adam does not make any compromises as far as his music is concerned. I have always felt that he had this need to defend his love for pop music. Many people think that most Top 40 music is of low quality, not artistic, maybe even cheap? Since Adam can sing whatever genre he chooses, it seemed to some as a kind of selling out. He did say that he wants to give the audience what they want AND make the music he likes at the same time and he made it sound like a compromise. But it's not. I THINK HE'S MAKING EXACTLY THE MUSIC THAT HE WANTS. He loves pop music. He makes beautiful, high quality, uncompromising songs, genre-free or genre-diverse. He's playing with styles and I have this strong feeling that one day he will be known for a very specific style of his own. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GLAMNANA

www.youtube.com/watch?&v=Bpu11aHe2-A#About this YT performance of Cuckoo (which won't embed here, tried also), where in the mentions it says: "Also, at the very end, can hear Adam say that he can't wait to make the video for this song!" Was wondering if this will be the next single, so many things hint into the direction of Cuckoo. Maybe you have already discussed this, haven't had time to go through all the discussions, cause so much going on in Adamland and RL. But it surely hints that way, according to what I have seen and read the strongest candidates seem to be Cuckoo and second Trespassing. Thoughts? Yay - got the video to embed ... You're right, it can appear that ADAM wants this song to be the next single (he's sure having fun performing it), however he has also cautioned that getting a radio hit is complicated, he has said it is important to his label to get a hit single to recoup their investment ... so, to me, that means that the label will decide - Cuckoo, Trespassing, NCOE - I love them all.

So many Adam and Adamtopia thoughts rolling around in my head fighting to get out. Just for structure's sake, I think I will take these in reverse chronological order:
Coconutgrove: I, too, think that Cuckoo is going to be the next single. It's infectious, accessible and the perfect summer fun song.
NoAngel: I love your thought provoking essays. I agree that Adam's "compromises" are the choices he's making to reach his goals. He didn't change the pronoun in Fever to make it more radio friendly, but I think he will take the "fuck" out of Cuckoo like he did for the latest vid. To me it is a choice of importance.
Glittergma: Love you enthusiasm!!! The last few years for you have not been easy, but you remain a beacon of sunshine. You make me smile. You also make me remember. I, too, was glued to my computer during FS. While I don't regret not going because I really couldn't go, I really wanted to be there especially after hearing the epic hotness of WLL.
Missing FS is the underlying reason I'm going to Sonicsphere. The opportunity was there and for me it came down to what was important to me. Do I bow to the economic enormiity of going to Europe? I mean it is an expensive endeavor and pretty much obliterating our nest egg. Or, is it more important to me to go and experience the merge of past, present and future? The expense gave me the greatest pause, but I would be compromising myself if I didn't go. Soo...after deliberating a couple of hours when the news broke, I bought my ticket! (Who says there isn't a benefit for belonging to ALF!) Going all the way to England for a concert really is pretty BSC, but my heart and soul know that it was the right choice for me.
Momtomany - Your story a couple of days ago touched me. While I'm sorry about your mother, your husband sounds as amazing as mine! My husband has been so supportive of my Adam journey including Sonicsphere. He's the one that told me to make it my dream trip, so I will go and see all things I have ever wanted to see in France and England! Good, loving partners makes all the difference!
Lastly because I am so grateful, Thank you all you wonderful Atopers! I'm like the distant cousin you don't really know, but I love the family we all have become because of Adam. He really does bring out the best in the people around him!
Love him, Love you and Love the place I'm in. I am where I am supposed to be! Thank you.

Dallas Mix 102.9 played BTIKM 5 times yesterday and WWFM 3 times. Each song has already been played this morning. This makes me feel that requesting is helping.

NoAngel this is one of my favorite essays. I sometimes read twitter or blogs and shake my head....everyone knows what he should do. It's his journey and we elect to go along or not. Really that simple. He's too pop....he's made for better .....he needs to be on broadway. All that is really about the writer, not Adam.
