OT..just got on.. Does anyone have figures of.. 1) How many cities has Adam visited during this US promo? 2) Does anyone know when his last promo gig is? 3) How many actual radio stations has he visited? 4) How many non-radio events has he performed at during this promo run? May seem silly, but in my mind, Adam is completing a mini-GN here. His schedule has been intense. Curious Viv... Oh, anyone heard when Adam will be on Idol? Thatza it..thanks for any feedback!  |

I think we should just let Adam lose. I'm tired of being jerked around by this site. They said they were going to declare him champ and put him in the Hall of Fame, and here they are, using him name to get hits to the website again. Phooey. I periodically get gung-ho about these polls (I can hardly stand the thought of Adam losing a poll to Durbin), but Adam is having just as hard of a time getting radio play now as he was when we put him ahead in all the other polls we've done over the past several years. If I had proof that he actually gains something by winning these things, I'd be more enthusiastic. I think we're just being manipulated. honestly, I'm done with these types of polls. Every so often I'll toss a vote in if a member here is requesting participation, but on whole... done. |

I love this site for all the info and different opinions, both positive and negative oriented - as long as the views are expressed in a civilized manner. There is no discussion if all is just flailing. However, I hate hostility, rudeness and taking comments on some quality aspect or detail as they were comments on a person. Let's be level-headed grown-ups again and enjoy our differences and similarities - and above all, the art of Adam Lambert and it's manifestations that we get to cherish every day!

And while I am admitting to a change of opinions, let me also admit that Tommy did an excellent job on the guitar. I play guitar in only a rudimentary way, but I know that the key is one of the worst to play on the thing. It would be much easier just to tune the strings down by a half tone and play it with the E chording that the guitar tuning makes easy. But, it looks to me like Tommy is taking the much harder route by leaving the regular tuning and doing a bunch of bar chords. Yeah, I know, that means nothing to most of you, but I am hoping there is a guitar whiz lurking who can confirm or correct me. So, Tommy, you can stay.  I always have a hard time watching anything else but Adam, but I couldn't help but notice Tommy's guitar-playing at Bing. I don't know anything about tuning, but he was all over the neck of that guitar with lots of bar chords. He was really playing that thang. I was very impressed. I've always thought he must be an excellent guitarist or our HBIC would not have picked him for his backup, but this really showed us what he can do. Nice to see that you agree! |

Freedom of speech? Yes, please. Trashing Adam's songs? Hell, no! Everyone would agree with these two premises, I'm sure, but they are too wide and unspecific. Here are more concrete questions: Should we openly say we don't like an Adam song on the board dedicated to him? Is this a place to go with impartial criticism of his work? Are we impartial? Should we be, here? On the other hand, if we refrain from expressing our honest opinion, does this make this board unrealistic, in a way? Unreliable? If all we do is adore everything he does without any filters? But then, this is the place where you can find some of the harshest criticisms of Adam's work, or clothes, or looks. Do we sometimes forget that this is a very public and frequently visited board? Do we sometimes feel like we're chitchatting with friends in a living room? Maybe being more tactful is advisable? So, opinion is what is desireable here, as I understand. If I wanted pure info, I could go to any other blog which serves only that even in a more presentable manner. Opinions are what makes this place so cool. But, maybe we should bear in mind WHERE AND WHY we are expressing our minds. This is a board of/for ADAM'S FANS (where) and, please, have a really, really good reason WHY you're posting anything negative. Really great advice. i know I forget that this board can be viewed by anyone at any time. Good reminder,Hope I don't get hate mail from RCA I'm missing something but who broke the A-Tops rules? I read all pages but didn't notice anything strong or ultranegative ??? :-/ |
