Adam must be dead tired.. This really is a mini tour and we are so lucky to be able to see and hear him,even if we're miles away. Last night was awesome,in my robe watching the whole Bing affair from my comfy chair.

OT- Just caught BTIKM video on VH1 (7:50 central time). It still gives me a thrill each time I manage to catch it before work and I am glad it is still in the AM rotation. :D When I watch some of the other videos I can't help but notice how sex is such a MAJOR theme in so many of them. Makes me frustrated and sad that this is such a taboo for Adam and seriously limits his ability to express his creative genius in an honest way. The phrase "Sex Sells" is still so true in our culture, but the narrow minded among us really do put him in a straight jacket.  . I would do anything to see a full out, no holds barred video of one of his new songs. (Imma thinking Shady or Broken English.  A girl can dream, can't she?) |

I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Lolly that helped me have an avi again until I fix the problems I have with my photobucket account.  I'm having major problems with photobucket and I'm back and forth with e mails and phone calls because someone on photobucket or at paypal screwed up something. I hope I can solve the problem soon because it's really frustrating :( |

But given a lot of people don't like this song at all - just wanted to say I very much liked this version of NCOE - Adam sounded amazing. And it sounded a bit like a potential Bond theme song to me - esp the chorus and break. Wld need to be vamped up of course and with more edgy arrangement. It may be less violent than most Bond themes but does have request inclusion of 'Die' so...

I know the songs are very, very different but strangely some dramatic elements struck me as similar. (And yeah neither this song nor the next Bond theme by Jack White and Alicia
Keys (Another Way to Die) were hits but it's still a cool credit.)

I'm glad someone else heard exactly the same thing I did. While I 'like' NCOE my issue with it is isn't the lyrics or mood... its that its impossible to sing along to and there is no hook. I think it makes a fine album track, but it isn't a good single material if you have other options. It made me think of a Bond song as well, lol. There you go. Come on movie industry.  |

I don't think Trespassing is particularly good single material either for the same reason. And I don't think the Bruno Mars writing credit is enough to carry it - 99% of people don't care who writes a song, as long as it's good. Cuckoo would be a fantastic single, and while I ADORE Naked Love I do think it runs a big risk of being misconstrued and that might hurt it in the long run. But then again, there's much more explicit songs that aren't even subtle about it on the radio all the time, so who knows? Very cool that he's testing the waters with the potential singles at these promos though. Hope we get acoustic Naked Love soon ;D |
