I finally got a chance to run the snippets by my 20 yr old daughter. She is musically inclined, plays piano and guitar and sings quite well, but solely as a hobby. She has an extensive, varied and quirky collection of music on her Ipod and does not listen to Top 40 radio much. I have not shared any of Adam's new direction with her before. She admires his voice and like a couple of his songs so she is not a huge fan. If she goes to a concert it is for an Indie band. She loved all 4 snippets and her comments were "funk" and "late 90's" and "90's are coming back, Mom". Also "anyone can do some funk is just fine in my book". With Naked Love she said, "that is totally Whitney". I showed her the Chokehold vid and she said "total funk groove, I love this song" and of course, "he sure is beautiful", lol. I showed her the acoustic NCOE and she was floored by his voice and how effortlessly he sings with such power. I asked her which she liked best and she said it was hard to choose but probably Trespassing because of the funky bass line. I could see the pleasure on her face listening to these although I don't know if she will purchase a whole album of Adam's music. Not to mention that she starts boot camp for the Navy in a week, lol, so she won't have much time to listen to music. Anyway that is my totally unscientific survey from a certain beautiful, wonderful 20 yr old young lady. Make of it what you will, but I was astounded that she recognized the 90's and funk influences immediately and she was impressed!

It is a new song. I don't find that revealing at all. But, has RCA Promo tweeted the acoustic versions of Trespassing and Cuckoo before? Plus, Shoshanna retweeted the Bruno tweet. Ya, I'd say it is looking like NCOE is the next single. I am OK with that as long as 1) It makes Top 10 on CHR quickly and 2) We get Cuckoo or Trespassing as single #3 I had exactly the same question in my mind - have RCA tweeted when Adam performed TP or CC for the first time? If not - definitely the next single... and I am with you on your 1) and 2). ( I want Adam to make the songwriter $s) I wonder if it "fits" the UK market. - what do our resident Brits think? Hope it will get some Bruno fans on board. Any news on the AI performance date? Any chance he;ll go with the new single on April 5th at the NNN? Of course it does! NCOE sounds like a Bruno song and his songs have done incredibly well in the UK. His singles, collabs and his last album have all gone multi-platinum in the UK, as well as worldwide. The UK loves Bruno and his music, as much as he is loved in the US. Songwriter money? For a co-write, it might not add up to much when you compare what a worldwide hit might do in the long run. A big CHR hit (even one like WWFM) could mean that Adam would get to release a couple of more singles. It could mean a lot more album sales and that means a bigger, longer tour! You've got to look at the big picture and not focus in on the percentage of money for one co-write that Adam would receive. The money from album sales (where Adam has many co-writes) and from touring, where artists REALLY make their money, would end up being way more than a co-writing credit on a single song.

my spenser and others trying for tickets...here's what worked for me. There were 3 different events on the same day and I tried for all of them. Jumped through every hoop that was out there. Besides calling in to the stations at the appointed times, there were contests on their facebook and twitter pages, and those of the venues too. I ended up winning on the very last call-in after a frustrating week of dialing. Then, while closing all the tabs I had open for the various contests, I discovered I had also won a little-known twitter contest sponsored by one of the venues that hadn't gotten a lot of entries. Finally, if you don't win, I would definitely just show up. zowie and I were able to help out some fans that were behind us in line. (I later saw their pics at another event so maybe they weren't so needy ???) good luck!! BTW - I wanted to mention publicly that Flowergirl was nice enough to take me as a plus one to the Boston event, even though we've never met. I am new to ATOP, but I really appreciate that this is a lovely community here. Thanks again Flowergirl!!!!!!
