I have been voting all day and have never been put on a cool off. Adam was up to 53.5%. I am one of the "angels" voting when you are sleeping. I think Adam has a real advantage with his International fans!! I'm on a time out, but when I do vote, it goes down. I noticed in the comments that Green Day fans are pretty active. They are asking "Who the hell is James Durbin?" LOL I only know who Durbin is because of Adam. ;D

If you have some time Adam could use some help on the MTV poll. He managed to get a small lead and keep it but started going down quickly the last 20 minutes. Please help if you can. Thanks! www.mtv.com/content/news/2012/musical_march_madness_2012/Adam Lambert 53.74% Panic! At The Disco 46.26% I just did 50 of them and will wait 2 hrs to do my next 50 votes. He's behind now by 1% (49.54%).

Sorry if this has already been posted. THE SONG MACHINEMost of the songs played on Top Forty radio are collaborations between producers like Stargate and “top line” writers like Ester Dean. The producers compose the chord progressions, program the beats, and arrange the “synths,” or computer-made instrumental sounds; the top-liners come up with primary melodies, lyrics, and the all-important hooks, the ear-friendly musical phrases that lock you into the song. “It’s not enough to have one hook anymore,” Jay Brown, the president of Roc Nation, and Dean’s manager, told me recently. “You’ve got to have a hook in the intro, a hook in the pre-chorus, a hook in the chorus, and a hook in the bridge.” The reason, he explained, is that “people on average give a song seven seconds on the radio before they change the channel, and you got to hook them.” Read more www.newyorker.com/reporting/2012/03/26/120326fa_fact_seabrook#ixzz1qMHKvY61

I was just coming here to post that, your quicker. "BRAND NEW SONG" ??? It is a new song. I don't find that revealing at all. But, has RCA Promo tweeted the acoustic versions of Trespassing and Cuckoo before? Plus, Shoshanna retweeted the Bruno tweet. Ya, I'd say it is looking like NCOE is the next single. I am OK with that as long as 1) It makes Top 10 on CHR quickly and 2) We get Cuckoo or Trespassing as single #3 The reason why the words "Brand New Song" on the RCA tweet was because that's the way Adam introduced the song... Listen the beginning to this YT. I think it's because he never sang this song in other radio station before. .. maybe :-/ But I'm with you mys*&@^#r ;D ... as much as I want Cuckos or Trespassing as the next single.. but I'm fine with NCOE.. as long as it can go to Top 10 (I'm hoping to top 5... haha.. dreaming here).

I finally got a chance to run the snippets by my 20 yr old daughter. She is musically inclined, plays piano and guitar and sings quite well, but solely as a hobby. She has an extensive, varied and quirky collection of music on her Ipod and does not listen to Top 40 radio much. I have not shared any of Adam's new direction with her before. She admires his voice and like a couple of his songs so she is not a huge fan. If she goes to a concert it is for an Indie band. She loved all 4 snippets and her comments were "funk" and "late 90's" and "90's are coming back, Mom". Also "anyone can do some funk is just fine in my book". With Naked Love she said, "that is totally Whitney". I showed her the Chokehold vid and she said "total funk groove, I love this song" and of course, "he sure is beautiful", lol. I showed her the acoustic NCOE and she was floored by his voice and how effortlessly he sings with such power. I asked her which she liked best and she said it was hard to choose but probably Trespassing because of the funky bass line. I could see the pleasure on her face listening to these although I don't know if she will purchase a whole album of Adam's music. Not to mention that she starts boot camp for the Navy in a week, lol, so she won't have much time to listen to music. Anyway that is my totally unscientific survey from a certain beautiful, wonderful 20 yr old young lady. Make of it what you will, but I was astounded that she recognized the 90's and funk influences immediately and she was impressed! annietoo, I loved this little unscientific survey with your daughter!! And good luck to her when she starts navy bootcamp next week!!
