Lol, yeah. But Adam's little giggles, and "mmhmm's" in there is still a little wink wink nudge nudge to it actually being about something more. Not going to lie, I love the song and it's like a drug to me, but I live for those giggles, hehs, and mmm's in the song. Whoa.. I thought I was the only one.. haha.. I love.. the song so much more than Cuckoo actually.. heee.. it is like a drug wanting to listent his.. huhs, mmm's .. and giggles.. and i thought his voice so sexy in here.. Really!! That has been very rare!!! Wow!! Gabby, thank you again for picking up the slack of being resident PIA. My new stint as babysitter for my grandson has really cut into what I can do at 8:00 Central time and you have really been there cheering us all on.  |

Well my recap may be redundant since Virgo already did it!
Yikes Virgo - I think it was my friend and I that pushed you out of standing next to Adam - I think we were the #1 and #2 - I AM SO SORRY BUT ADAM JUST HAS A MAGNETIC PULL AND YOU HAVE TO STAND AS CLOSE TO HIM AS POSSIBLE!
Also, Virgo - I was the first one there this morning! I was there at 9 am - but it was cold, raining and I was standing outside all alone, so I went across the street to the Marriott to wait for people to arrive - I saw you arrive and the other couple also. Finally, saw the radio people get there and walk right in. So we decided to go wait inside (Justkaren & Hoopa were with me hoping they could get in if someone didn't show up). So we were the first ones waiting.
I was also sitting in front row but more in front of Tommy - but didn't really notice him haha.
I wrote 2 questions on cards (one was for crazylady) but they picked mine first! My question was not the one about the car Virgo. My question was: You made yourself a gorgeous bowtie for the Elton John Oscar party; have you ever made yourself any other clothing or accessory items? He looked right at me *swoon* and thought for a minute and said no, not really (not sure I believe that haha) - and I complimented him on the work on the bowtie. Then they asked the questions about buying himself something and about his Berlin "doodle" - that's it. They asked 3 questions and no interview or much interaction with radio personnel.
Adam said he heard his single on their radio station for the first time last night, he seemed happy about that. Then the radio guy asked "does that ever get old" (I was like WTF?) and Adam said "no, it doesn't get old, that was the first time I've heard it so no" hahahaha he cracks me up.
I took a few photos (I think Gelly posted them all) but mostly I just sat and absorbed the intimate concert. You could hear a pin drop while he was singing (although someone dropped their phone during ugh). I was sitting next to 2 girls - 1 high school, 1 college who had never heard him sing live. They were thrilled!
Justkaren & Hoopla didn't get to come in the room - they said the radio people weren't very nice about it either. And there was plenty of room in there - booths lining the walls that were empty. Sad for them. But we all had fun at the bar after (while Adam & Tommy were in a back room eating). Met a really cool mother and 13-year-old daughter; daughter was a big fan; mother videotaped the whole thing so we might get that.
They did serve us a nice buffet lunch after and I celebrated with a cosmo in the middle of the day woo-hoo!
Unfortunately I had a 2 hour drive in the pouring rain - got so tired after that cosmo, I had to stop for coffee ;D
Adam was with us maybe 30 minutes but it was a sublime 30 minutes.

Hi all! After calling in for like 7 days, I finally won a pass to SF through Alice Radio! I am in shock! And so grateful! I know there are many SF area people still trying, I hope more of us get in! He has so many fans in this region!  fionamama. |
