I've gotten in way over 500 votes today by slowing down and doing 25 at a time... OH! I got home and had received my No Trespassing T-shirt!! Has anyone else received it? I think mys*&@^#r said hers had arrived... but she didn't say anything about a T-shirt. Maybe because it's butt ugly???  Are you wearing yours, yet?  |

Fixed myself some gin&tonic, kind of Sonisphere comfort drink, and then I couldn't log on, because I failed to to type my password correctly twice. You guys are harder to break in than Fort Knox So sorry for all Atoppers who bought tickets and such. No other words of wisdom except sorry. Also, I would be extremely sad if Adam found out about the cancellation from the media. Is it possible that no one informed him? In all his interviews from today ( I guess they are from today, with the time difference I can't really tell) , he kept on talking about the London and Moscow concerts. What is the exact time that Queen announced? Maybe Adam learned in the meantime. I wonder why he keeps silent. Everybody on Twitter hopes that Moscow's still on, but didn't Adam talk about that performance as a warm up for Knebworth? Maybe it's also off by default. And do we know why it's been cancelled? I apologize if all these q have been discussed and answered previously, I had no time even to skim through the thread. Obviously I know nothing, but common logic tells me that IF the Moscow concert is under a separate contract from Sonisphere and IF there is no dependency on Sonisphere spelled out, then cancelling would be a breech of contract by QUEEN and could be subject to "penalties" or however it is specified in the contract... so, who knows- all depends on the contract... ...I can''t see why QUEEN would not want to play in Moscow, unless they do not sell enough tickets there... I am hoping that this will turn out for the best and they will get a "better" offer now. I feel horrible for all who made plans, got tickets and re-arranged their lives around 7/7. May be some other promoter will pick up the date. ... after all Brian and Roger did say that their phone was ringing off the hook after the EMAs... Yep.. nica... your post reminded me of the interview with Moscow's organizer. He said that Queen's looking to do concerts in a few European countries, Paris, Spain, Moscow.. and I forgot the other two countries. They chose Moscow.. so.. now that UK date's cancelled maybe these other countries will try to get Queen again or maybe Japan or US. Either way, we don't know what's going on behind the scene now. For all we know maybe they're in the middle of conversation or negotiation for few other dates. Maybe I'm in a denial ... but maybe i'm still hoping.. ;D |

Hi everyone! Back from the SF promo with a recap. First of all, I have to echo Yippie - that Trespassing was so ridiculously hot my knees literally went weak during the panting part. Geeeeeezzuuussssss. misssantaclarashell (our awesome videographer) and I and our friend got there at about 10, and were behind about five or six people. The Queen news was out, but we decided to ignore it. :-) Saw Tommy and Adam get out of the car - Adam looking like a gorgeous, tall drink o' water. They both waved. We were bummed we all weren't going to get a hug. :-( But we ended up in the front two rows about five or six feet from Adam. Good God that man is gorgeous! Fun interview, and they were asking the crowd questions about Adam (that of course we all knew the answers to!). I swear I could not stop staring at those gorgeous eyes of his! And every time he looked at me (no really, he did I swear!) I thought I'd melt. His voice was so pure. And Trespassing was AWESOME!! You could tell he felt the energy in the room (the video simply does not reflect that energy). So many moments - silly, sexy, defiant. Wow. I had a feeling he might sing that extra song - maybe it was because we channeled so much energy to him that he just had to give it back! Anyway, what an amazing day. Can't wait to see the M&G pictures (eventhough I'm not in them). OK, back to watch all the videos again!   Thank you so much for the great recap. I especially love how everyone decided to handle to Queen news( and lack of hugs) and not burden Adam with everyone's very understandable disappointment but decided to throw a lot of love at him instead. Sounds like a brilliant day! Love the bird and grasshoppers stories, just what the doctor ordered. Fingers crossed that Queen and Adam will work something out. I imagine they are working on it and we'll have some good news soon. Hugs to all with tickets. Praying it all works out somehow.  ETA: I'm totally late to the party again. PWK???? ;D ;D ;D ;D |

Let me say this one thing now though--it's about Sonisphere. During one part of the Q&A, the dj asked about singing with Queen at Knebworth. The crowd kind of "awww'd" and "ohhh'd", and Adam just smiled and started doing the same thing he did before the original announcement of Sonisphere when people asked him about possibly performing with Queen. His response today? "I.....I'm sworn to secrecy, I promised...can't really talk about that right now...but stay tuned" or something to that effect. Whatever that means, he did not react with sadness or any sense of loss. Many of us took that as meaning there might be another announcement in the offing and we're hoping it's some dates with Queen. Never mind all those other bands at Sonisphere! (But so sorry for those who made expensive plans to be there.)
Anyhoo....back later. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Someone on Twitter said that Adam, said stay tuned for gigs regarding Queen and him performing! So can it be that they're going to do another concert in UK?!? Everything crossed for Adam and all other fans that were going to go! I'm sure queen heard about this cancellation long before the public figured it out. I have no doubt they just didn't go to the next promoter down the list. This isn't just about Adam... its about Queen and I don't think they would simply throw their hands up at a festival cancellation. Its also their own name out there that they need to make good on. I'm still not crossing their involvement with the Olympics off the list. Not necessarily part of the televised portion, but with the concerts they have planned around town during the event. The biggest thing that wouldn't surprise me is that we haven't heard all the promo and 'concert' plans for Adam as a solo artist or as a guest artist of Queen. |

I was at the Infusion Lounge today - didn't really want them to ask Adam about the Sonisphere gig but they did. I could not tell whether he was trying to imply anything or not. I think he just did not want to talk about it.
I have an "embed code" from Facebook for a video of Trespassing I took today that is more of a directly in front of Adam one - but pasting that embed code didn't work here? Anyone know how to do this (the vid is on my iphone)?
