I'm not worried or concerned at all! I just find it weird that RCA is releasing 2 Idol albums one week apart! They haven't done done for any of the Idol's #2 album. And RCA has definitely been following a pattern! I almost wonder if they are hoping Adam's album will cause some buzz for Kris? Kelly's second album was released two weeks after Clay's second album in 2004....other than those two I'm not sure it's really been an issue because Daughtry is the next idol signed to RCA that got a second album as far as I know. I do wonder if it's not a buzz thing for Kris' CD more than anything else and if that's the case I hope it works for him as he probably needs all the help he can get and I know Adam would want him to succeed. It's possible that Kris's album has always had that release date, and Adam's rescheduled date happened to end up a week before Kris. I haven't paid enough (any) attention to Kris to know. But unless RCA also delayed Kris's album, if Trespassing had been released on 3/20 the albums would have been released a couple of months apart. I vote coincidence. |

OT sort of... Alright I just listened to Elise doing WLL, then listened to Adam's Idol performance of WLL. And um..I have to say I really didn't like Elise performance of it, and prefer Adam's, and I'm not just saying this because I'm a stan. When watching I just realized the reason that I like Adam's better, is that he's doing his Adam thing, where he's respecting the song, but putting his own stamp on it. Every time I hear someone sing WLL, it's like it stays so close to the original, to the point it just sounds like Karaoke. And Elise just sounded like a pale female version of Robert Plant to me. Just saying.. I've liked Elise's voice from the beginning but her personality leaves a lot to be desired, and as we all know, that's an important ingredient not only on Idol, but after if you expect to win friends and INFLUENCE PEOPLE. I give her credit for her rendition of WWL, but it was just so BUSY. I went back and watched Adam's afterward and it was intense but not frantic. Plus, the words were a problem for me when she sang. Kind of garbled, mashed up, etc. I hope she stays because I think she has potential, but few tweaks needed, including how defensive she gets and how she lets it show. You can be mad as hell, and even speak up, but it's all in the delivery and the facial expressions. |

Oh, I definitely could believe this! : KA is going to need all the help he can get, his song is going nowhere fast and there is stiff competition with a ton of WGWGs currently on the HAC charts. NAL's single has a cheap production and it was the wrong choice at the wrong time. Isn't Kris' song in pretty much the same position as Adam's at the same time of release? Some have also said that BTIKM has cheap production and was the wrong choice at the wrong time.... I guess what I'm trying to say is putting down Kris won't make Adam more successful and if history is any indication karma has a way of paying it back in kind. I remember Cook's fans, James' fans and Kris' fans all poo pooing Adam's success and look where they are now. Positive energy into the universe for everyone to find success in hopes that that positive energy will land back on Adam a thousandfold ;D If we can discuss other people's music on here, we can discuss Kris'. No, NAL's single IS NOT where BTIKM was at the same time of release. It is considerably behind in spins and adds and has zero interest on Pop stations. (There is more detail about this in my original post.) BTIKM was not a "cheap production". It was done by Dr. Luke! Some may not like it, but it wasn't cheap in any way! Personally, I don't care for the single (or am a fan).. but I think its way too early to say that it is going nowhere. We've seen this in the past.. its up to the label (IMO) to get a single to catch some fire. This song may or may not do it IDK. My comment was: "his song is going nowhere fast". |
