yippie Not faintly I can hear you loud and clear! LOL this concert was so much fun! In fact all of yesterday's mini concerts were perfect! Well, they told us he was going to do two songs so I was doing my BEST to get all three! The crowd was really, really into it. Maybe because we had to stand and we were all mashed together it was a more intense energy. It was fun. I still hope we get video of his facial expression when he heard that Glamberts are a force for good in the universe! It was after BTIKM and before the other songs I think.

I think NAL's album date is an old one and I wouldn't be surprised if it gets pushed back.

SONISPHERE 2012 CANCELLATION: LOSING MORE THAN JUST A FESTIVAL Mar 29"... One of the most controversial headliners, of course, was Queen. It would be naive to think that with such a prestigious booking there wouldn’t be a little backlash, especially as Freddie Mercury is very much seen as the focal point of the band, but it pained me to see how ignorant some of the comments were that were flying around. People were very much caught up on how Lambert had come to prominence rather than his ability to sing and perform, and it disheartened me to see that this should be the case. Granted, reality music shows such as X Factor and the lark are having a massive, maybe not so beneficial impact on the state of the music industry today, but it is a platform for great vocal talent. And yes, I am calling Adam Lambert a great talent, because he is. His vocal ability surpasses many a pop and rock singer and he has an overwhelming stage presence, qualities the late Mercury was both renowned for, and in this day and age, I personally could not think of a more suited performer to pay tribute (a key factor many people seemed to miss when slating Lambert) to him. He wasn’t going to ‘tarnish’ the Queen legacy by singing his own material, it was a simple matter of him hitting the stage and performing a set filled with solid Queen classics with Brian and Roger, and I think we were lucky to be given the opportunity to see them in action with such a substantial stand-in. ..."joshuapmusicblog.wordpress.com/2012/03/29/sonisphere-2012-cancellation-losing-more-than-just-a-festival/

I was in the car this morning and BMs Just the way you are (is this the correct title?) was on. Typically, I would change the station because I can't stand his voice. Today I listened very carefully. Lemme just say that IMO NCOE is the better-er song. Of course, Adam's voice is responsible for 95%, the other 5% are for NCOE being catchier. At least, I was able to sing the whole NCOE snippet after the first time I heard it, but not Just the way your are. I am not going to worry if NCOE is single #2. If the label wants to push it hard enough, it will succeed.

All the promo concerts yesterday were terrific and he looked so happy and gorgeous! I love all the fun recaps, too. Makes us all feel like we were almost there!! Thanks!! yes! Thanks for the recaps! Adam was so goofy and fun yesterday. I absolutely loved these interviews. I would love to see him live in this type of setting some day. Seems like he's talking to a group of old friends. I'm assuming we'll be getting single news next week and not tomorrow. I'm going on vacation on Sunday and I'll be without internet access for the week. Great timing on my part : . But I'll flail with y'all in spirit! I've come to love all the songs so I don't think he can go wrong! I get more excited by the day for Trespassing!

Okay, I've got to ask a question or make a point or whatever since I've never understood why the hell it matters if and when X IDOL CONTESTANTS release their singles or albums. If I like Kris' music and I like Adam's music, and I like Carrie's music, why the hell would I care if they all had albums released within seconds of each other. I'll either sample their music on various websites or buy their albums when it's convenient for me to do so. I have a folder with an itunes wish list. I wait until I've accumulated a number of songs, then download them. Sorry if I'm considered a bad fan, but that includes Adam.
When I talk to casual Idol fans who do not follow a particular favorite on the internet, they can't remember who won in what year, who came in second, third, last, whatever. Are the DJ's gonna play all of their songs on the same day on the same station at the same time and say "okay Idol fans, who is the winner"?
If I was not on an Adam fan site, I would not even know that "said x Idol's" album or single was being released on whatever day. I didn't even know that new music is generally released on Tuesdays. I don't get how Adam's and Kris' album being released close to each other would create buzz for either of them. Carrie is country, how the hell would her releasing a new single/album affect Adam or Kris releasing theirs at the same second?
As a general music fan, I buy what I like - period. I also usually have to hear a snippet before I buy. Since I am an avid Adam fan, I have the privilege of hearing songs before the album comes out. Bonus for me. However, I'll wait for the whole album and all the songs to be released before I purchase the songs I like. No disrespect and I don't consider myself a bad fan, but why would I purchase songs that I never want to listen to. There are a few songs from FYE that I deleted from my itunes library because they are just not something I ever want to listen to ever again. Before downloads, that was not an option and I had to fast forward through the stuff I didn't like. I was a big fan of making mix tapes to avoid that. But now that I have the option to skip the stuff I don't care for and only purchase what I like - YAY.
Sorry, got off track. I go back to my original comment - why should it matter if every single Idol contestant in the history of the show released music on the exact same day? If I like them and if I like their music, I'll buy it, whenever I want to.
That came out as an unintended rant, but I would really like to know why this matters. I don't get why people were concerned that Adam and Madonna would release music on the same day. I despise Madonna's music and love Adam's music, so I would not purchase anything from her. Why should that matter? If I loved both of their stuff, why should that matter? I'd buy both.
Just don't get it.
