I thought Adam's curse words in Finnish were funny. Like he said this sentence rings . And if some day I hear Adam curse in Greek I would die from laughing. But then again I curse a lot every day. I use the greek - same as fuck - word multiple times a day lol. And I'm sure Adam knows all the Finnish love words.  |

Here's my totally uninformed take on Moscow. It was supposed to be a warm up gig. It may be that Roger and Brian do not want to do all the work, rehearsal, planning, staging etc for just the Moscow gig. However, they probably have a contract that is separate from the UK gig, and if they cancel there could be some stiff penalties. Yes, they could afford them, but, why not try to line up something else to make all the work worthwhile? I think behind the scenes they are looking for and looking at other options to merge with Russia. Until they come up with something, or don't, I think they are agreed not to cancel but not to mention the Russia gig going forward.
I think our only option is to patiently wait and see what they work out. In the meantime, I think Adam has been avoiding talking about the Moscow gig, in case Queen decides not to go forward with it.
Does that make sense?

It's ok for a Finn to course or use those words, because they know what they mean and how it sounds (at least they know what they are up against using them). But when foreigners use a language they don't know well, or the tones etc. I think it's pretty risky to use them in public. I don't hear Adam using the f-word much, with Cuckoo he's now even silencing it when singing in radio stations. And now this Finnish f-word swearing is all over the place. It has the same tone as in english the f-word in Finnish. It's a strong word.  Adam uses the F word in English all the time!! He has used it on twitter, in concerts, in his songs, and in all kinds of interviews all over the world. Adam doesn't have a problem or moral hang-up with curse words! But for us Finns he has said only few things in Finnish and now this course word. In English Adam is using and talking so many nice words, the swearing is only a very small part of what he's saying, and usually the context is right and it goes with what he tries to express. Like in Cuckoo the f-word is at the right place there, it has a meaning. But out of the blue, in Finnish, a very bad cursing and before that hardly anything in Finnish. I'm an entitled fan and want to hear something beautiful from Adam's lips in Finnish. I'm just so sad and pissed about this now. Sorry. Some nice things in Finnish that Adam could say: You have beautiful eyes = sinulla on kauniit silmät ILU = rakastan sinua You are wonderful = olet ihana Give me a kiss = anna suukko Just to give a few line, maybe some other Finns can give more. |

But, he wasn't cursing in that way. It was in response to what Finnish words he knew, wasn't it. I bet he thought no one would understand what it meant. |

Same here and I'm not even a Finn :-[ It would be way better to hear him saying something lovely :-/ I have sometimes been taken aback by the things Adam says and where he chooses to say them, too. These days obscenities are in the eye of the beholder ... our culture is so much more vulgar than it used to be. Even now, though, obscenities produce an emotional reaction in the listener -- that's their whole purpose. Occasionally when I hear these things I think that Adam and Sauli still have some growing up to do if saying "bad words" still strikes them as the height of wit. :-/ The use of curse words has nothing to do with age or maturity. Some people just don't find them morally reprehensible. There are older, well-respected, members of society who use curse words often. Then there are ignorant bigots who would "never use curse words". the use of curse words =/= immaturity or a lack of intelligence |

I'm quite sure Adam knows many really sweet words in Finnish too. I think it was kinda funny. Not so bad. It's very common for Finnish young people to use those words. If you noticed the times he didn't use it while singing Cuckoo were the times that little kids were present, and he even showed the kids with his hands when the audience started laughing because he censored himself. |

The last name sounds Finnish just because it is a mash up with both their surnames LAMB(ert) (Ko)SKINEN. Also her first name is not a usual Finnish name, possible though. I have no recollection of nose superstition here, again possible. For Finns: Vanha suomalainen sananlasku: "Miehen mitta on kaksi nenänmittaa". En tiennytkään tuota! :D |

Well, I am really confused with this Moscow gig :( Have booked the trip and bought concert tickets and now I don't have a clue what's going on... Anyways, all the ticket agencys are still selling tickets to this gig :-/ It is possible they are still trying to work out an alternative for Knebworth and therefore do not want to cancel Moscow yet. Of course it may also mean they are working out how to cancel the Moscow gig to the promoters satisfaction since they have already invested in it with advertising and such. I hope not, but I think it all depends if they can get another UK gig. |
