Today has been the worst thread on this site since.... I don't understand all the discussion of a few words that everyone uses in a language hardly anyone understands. I doubt that the Finns would be shocked...i can imagine Sauli probably said something similar during his time on "Big Brother". Well, I drank enough coffee with my cake to sober up and get my second wind...and damn if I didn't make it to the end of a thread for the first time in AGES! Heathcliff, just want to respond to the "worst thread" lament... I thoroughly enjoyed it! There's NEVER a day here when posters agree on everything that pops up. It appears to me that a whole fuckload of Atoppers are fine with what Adam said--as evidenced by the sheer number of times the word has appeared here today! I'll remember this thread as the #It'sAdam'sFault Fuckity-Fuck thread! And I'll remember that some DON'T like it--but that they were free to express their opinions without censure. And--as Cassie says-- tomorrow is another day. I'm sure we'll all find something to disagree about tomorrow, as well as things to laugh at together and things to commiserate about. It's like a real family. We may not always agree with one another, but love each other anyway! Welcome to our "weird" family, Heathcliff! It's allllllll gooooood!

That's right. Its' meaning is "fuck this shit" in English despite the fact that the first word in Finnish is something else. No Finn swearing in Finnish and using the word "vittu" thinks it's actual meaning, it's used as commonly as "fuck" in English. It's no more rude, or meant to be more rude than "fuck". Common word, no big deal and should not be made into being a BIG deal. I can so imagine Sauli fighting with the tech problems with his laptop when they've been filming Tutka and cursing freely while doing so. He's not the most patient person and certainly not into tech things :D so there for sure have been a lot of cursing from a very frustrated Sauli.

Add me to the ones nodding "exactly" here. Even though I personally don't like excessive cursing, I do curse sometimes, as well, and nowadays even use the v-word occasionally. I think this whole thing is really getting blown out of proportions. Thank you, Finnish tabloids!
