My thoughts about Adam using cursewords to demonstrate his limited skills in Finnish (he said his Finnish sucks). IT IS NO BIG DEAL. People say those things all the time, especially young people (under 35-40 for example). When you take a bus in the afternoon when the kids are coming from school, you will hear those words in every sentece they utter. It is common practice and when used often their original meaning reduces in value. It is not that strong or shocking anymore.
Adam was cute and funny in that situation as well as he is in all the interviews. I am more concerned for the level of journalism nowadays, when every possible thing that can be twisted to sound scandalous is reported. Well, it is the tabloids. And it is just funny that this was brought up in the press and I also think it is funny that also every blog of Sauli's gets a mention somewhere no matter what the subject is. But hey, if Adam stays in the press, he will be known to the masses. Part of the readers will be curious about his music, too.

I'm waiting for my ride (she's late!)...woohoo, my big celebration of "the day" is to get dropped off at a park and walk through the woods!!! "Vittu tätä paskaa!" will come in handy when I get stressed about certain things/people (like my lawyer) and need relief...and "RAKASTAN" IS MY WORD FOR ATOP! LOVE YOU ALL! Later, I'm going to come catch up and play on Atop! ;D Best birthday treat I can give myself! P.S. For the record, LOVE and FUCK are my absolute favorite 4-letter words! I probably over-use both of them...but they best reflect the LIGHT and DARK sides of life for me, so there ya go! Hoopla! I hope your day has been happy! Excellent attitude! I will take this opportunity as well: I have had really bad RL week, so VITTUTÄTÄPASKAA! But people are beautiful, in RL and in ATOP so RAKASTAN life as it comes to me! Actually, SusieFierce, I am a historian and early America is my area of specialization. My comment was indeed about public culture. I suppose I should have specified. Private culture is a different matter as ever it was. I regret ever commenting and feel that I lowered myself to be drawn into such a trivial topic. For the record, I enjoy Adam's swearing on stage and off. It often has quite a pleasing effect and makes a statement. I stand by my comment that interjecting random profanities into conversation is juvenile. For the record, juvenile is a value-neutral term that just means "young." Things that are juvenile can often be quite funny. As this was to many of us. Please, everyone, quit beating the crap out of me. Junie, others are simply giving their opinions, too. No one is trying to pick on you. |
