I'm glad you said this and I totally agree. All of this fuss because he said one line in finnish that was a couple of cuss words. I mean, who the fuck cares and for the ones that do care, WHY the fuck do they care?? I don't understand the big deal. It was an innocent conversation we were having yesterday and Adam didn't do anything wrong. This just irritates the hell out of me. I feel like taking down my video, but won't do any good since everyone has seen it now. Whoever is making a big deal out of this needs to get a life and move the fuck on! This is aimed at no one, just venting myself and trying to figure why people care about something so insignificant. I have been amused all afternoon. Each time I check in we have a couple more pages of women, largely between the ages of 35 and 70, talking about the word FUCK. I don't see anyone getting their panties in a wad over it, but the differences of perception are interesting. Adam sure gives us lots of things to talk about. I think, actually, the opinions about the Melvin, the poncho and the hair extensions were much stronger. OMG!I'm very sorry guys but I don't understand what you taking about.I know the swear English word.They where one of the first I learn so when someone says I know what they talking about, but Melvin, poncho and hair extensions I have no idea what that is all about.  |

It's ok for a Finn to course or use those words, because they know what they mean and how it sounds (at least they know what they are up against using them). But when foreigners use a language they don't know well, or the tones etc. I think it's pretty risky to use them in public. I don't hear Adam using the f-word much (in English I mean), with Cuckoo he's now even silencing it when singing in radio stations. And now this Finnish f-word swearing is all over the place. It has the same tone as in english the f-word in Finnish. It's a strong word. hey... it's not that serious!! Chill out. Relax. Herne pois nenästä! I thought it was funny. : I am with you on this one  My experience especially after living abroad over 8 years is that to anyone none Finnish speaking numbers and finnish curse words sound really funny. Many of my friends although I tried to teach them nice words seem only to remember thank you and the curse words. Fuck in Finnish is a strong word but also nowdays one of the mainly used one. When I lived in London I would say C word was the worse and in Finnish version V..ttu would be equal to C word. But that is just me.. I am not really bothered when I hear him or any foreigner using these words |

I only recently learned that Unca Dave is Leila's older brother. Did i get that right? I am getting fucking exhausted from trying to keep up with all of the fucking radio promo and so fucking sad about Sonisphere. Neil's old blog always cracks me the fuck up -

Talkin’ about L.A. there, but I wanted to be all cryptic and well read. I’m going to visit my brother there. On Thanksgiving we had this spectacular blowout of an argument.
You know those arguments you get into which start off innocently enough:
“Could you pay attention to the directions so we don’t get lost?”
“I don’t know. COULD YOU EVER MANAGE TO INTERACT WITH HUMAN BEINGS ON A BASE LEVEL THAT DOESN’T MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE A FUCKING SHITHEEL?”
Surprisingly enough, I was the one with the mild shot across the bow and he was the one reducing me to splinters. So it turned into us trading blows for the sole purpose of cutting the deepest. He totally won, which sucked. Since then we’ve made amends and this will be our first test run of our not being dicks in each other’s presence since Thanksgiving. I’m anxious to see how it goes, though I’m pretty sure it’ll be fine.

IMO, that was the one and only time "Melvin" ever looked good. Not to heavy, not over-dyed. Adam tends to go a bit crazy on the facial dye these days. Beards are USUALLY slighly lighter than regular hair. Turning it black-black generally makes it look like a stick-on stage prop. [grins] Cue the earlier vid where the gals are going "What the HELL is he wearing?!!" I have to say that I LOVE this look! This pic was my very first screen saver -- STILL drool over it. |

Speaking of Green Day, I was curious and checked out the forum on their website, and found it interesting that the majority of the fans we were voting against were in their teens.. saw only two who were 22 and 27 years old, the rest 13 to 19. : And? Just an interesting observation that his fanbase seems to skew so young, basing it on this forum anyway.. I imagine growing up with hi technology, it would be 2nd nature to them and they would be good at mobilizing their troops, and have the energy to vote nonstop for days.. no wonder they won coming up from way behind. ;D |
