The eagles are so darn cute.
I have just heard disco being bashed a lot. Made fun of. Not legit MUSIC. maybe the folks that say those things never like adam anyway. I also imagine there is a whole generation of potential fans that don't even really know what disco is. I just think it sounds cooler to talk dubstep, electro or whatever the more current terms are.
Or maybe don't define it specifically at all.

Off topic but posting an update here because so many of you cared... That extended family member I mentioned who was having such a hard time in his conservative college environment, with encouragement, now feels empowered enough to change his situation. He is transferring to another school with a more liberal environment for the fall. He put together a sound, reasonable plan for himself, informed his parents calmly about what he was doing and how it would benefit him, and said he hoped he would have their support, but understood their decision was up to them, just as his decisions about his life were up to him to make. His family is sticking with him. "Aftermath" came up somewhere in our conversations; he is shedding his armour and already he is starting to feel like he has fallen into the glitter. Adam gave this as one of his favorite lyrics recently, and now it has another added layer of meaning for me.  I am so glad Adam is out there being visible and real. Good for him, and his family for supporting his decision. And, for you being there to listen. |

That's what I think. If we all do just 20 more votes per day, we should be able to get it back up! It is such a good video too! Deserves recognition. Poor Ray Day. 2 great videos in a row, for Adam, that he directed that are brilliant for songs that did not go high enough to be recognized (side eyeing Luke and Claude right now!) ...but someone decided to pick this particular song out of 40-50 pool! side-eyeing those who picked it.... ... hope the next one will do better, as you know - I am so skeeered of NCOE....which IMO is a lock to become the next single... Yep. I get that feeling too - next single. I've heard all the pros & cons for this to be single #2 a million times so I'm not trying to revisit that. I just wonder what kind of a video he could do for what is essentially a love song. As was BTIKM of course & he had to go way out of the box for that one. He'll have to do that yet again for NCOE. Maybe partying til you drop & still keep those eyes wide open? Cuckoo would make a kickass video! j/s |

But I can see it as a dance party song too. Lots of young people having a fun, fun all nighter! Not like IIHY though. More in a clubbing mode. |

Rolling Stone review referred to Madonnas's new album as disco. Headline: Madonna opens up like never before on a disco-fied divorce record. Print version p. 67, 3/29/2012. They didn't mean it in a negative way from what I could tell. Gave her album 3 and 1/2 stars.

When I picked up my newspaper this morning, I saw on the front page that Mitt Romney has donated $10,000 to an organization that is working to overturn marriage equality in those states that have it. Then I opened the paper, and saw a story about Jerry Lee Lewis marrying his seventh wife.
