Q3, I see a lot of variety here and nothing typical about these 10!
Here are the current US Top 10 on Pop/CHR radio:
1 KELLY CLARKSON Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) Pop 2 THE WANTED Glad You Came Dance-pop 3 DAVID GUETTA Turn Me On f/Nicki Minaj House/dance-pop 4 GYM CLASS HEROES Ass Back Home f/Neon Hitch Pop/alt Hip Hop 5 FUN. We Are Young f/Janelle Monae Pop 6 KATY PERRY Part Of Me Dance-pop 7 ADELE Set Fire To The Rain Pop 8 DRAKE Take Care Alt Dance/R&B 9 JESSIE J Domino Dance-pop 10 CALVIN HARRIS Feel So Close House/dance-pop Just because there are so many dance songs, doesn't make them all the same. That is precisely the reason that I think Cuckoo or Trespasing's time is NOW!

So does everyone think the Boy George tweet was random? Maybe Brian May is sussing out guest appearances for a hopeful non-Sonisphere gig? I know less than nothing, of course. THAT ^^^^ is exactly what I thought! Queen is getting a show together and Boy George has been contacted!

Adam Lambert @adamlambert Reply Retweet Favorite · Catchin up on idol. All of them are great this year. Jessica Sanchez is a STAR. Get the girl a microphone that can handle her big notes. Sweet sigh. This tweet plus the one, "Home Sweet Home," just make me insanely happy. He's been on the road for a month and now he's at home w/Sauli just enjoying doing some things that might come under his category of "boring." His schedule will just get crazier and it warms my heart to know that maybe he can just relax and recharge the rest of today and tomorrow before the new week begins and maybe, too, he'll be in LA for a while and can enjoy some work/RL balance. At least that's my wish for him....

American Top 40 @americantop40 Reply Retweet Favorite · Open .@adamlambert comes in at #33 with our most requested song in 2012: “Better Than I Know Myself.” It’s the 43rd hit for an “Idol” finalist. I sometimes wonder if all the requesting online has an impact.. glad to hear that it does!! Find a radio station that you can listen to AT40 because you'll have to write that down on the form. I only fill in the required info, and "Why you want to hear this song'. It takes hardly any time to do it. So just DO IT!!! www.at40.com/songrequestMODS: Just noticed this link wasn't on the front page.. please post! AT40 countdowns are based on an unpublished Mediabase airplay chart -- not requests. The requests are for special plays and shoutouts. So if you want to wish someone a Happy Birthday -- request away. Otherwise request from local HAC stations and it will keep BTIKM on this show. NOTE: The AT40 HAC countdown is based on airplay on selected HAC stations, including recurrent songs (old songs that are no longer on the current chart) and the chart 15 days ago. (It is prerecorded.)

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN: 37 Things I Did For Best Week Ever www.bestweekever.tv/2012-03-31/the-final-countdown-37-things-i-did-for-best-week-ever/19. Met a Man Named Adam Lambert, And Then His Lovably Insane FansOf all the celebrities I’ve interviewed these past 6 years, nobody one elicited even close to the response that my time with Adam Lambert did. Then again, in my defense, I don’t believe any other interviewer out there served Adam straight up fig vodka made from her Grandmother’s secret recipe. (I shant ever reveal it.) That is precisely the reason that I think Cuckoo or Trespasing's time is NOW! I think there is a difference between thinking that there is not a lot of range on Top 40 radio and all the songs are the same. I do not see the range of genres represented on Top 40 that existed a few years ago. IMO Cuckoo and NCOE are probably the best fit with current chart but all four fit in with what is on Top 40 radio. When it comes to the range of Top 40 music, it is all what you compare it to. Here is the top 10 from about 10 years ago: American Top 40 for February 9th - 15th, 2002 1 Nickelback How You Remind Me Post grunge 2 Pink Get the Party Started Dance pop 3 Usher U Got It Bad R&B/soul 4 No Doubt Hey Baby Ragga/electro dance pop 5 Shakira Whenever Wherever Worldbeat/Latin pop 6 Creed My Sacrifice Post grunge 7 The Calling Wherever You Will Go Pop rock 8 Linkin Park In the End Alt rock/nu metal 9 Mary J. Blige Family Affair Hip Hop 10 Craig David 7 Days R&B IMO Top 40 radio represented a broader range of music 10 years ago -- even 4 years ago vs. now. That is not saying everything is the same. In any case, I just hope they release a song that will get airplay and that will not require Adam to do 6 concerts at every station that adds it. ETA: Edited by Q3 for clarity.
