Catchin up on idol. All of them are great this year. Jessica Sanchez is a STAR. Get the girl a microphone that can handle her big notes. Adam is so right! Jessica, at 16, has the best voice technically. The things she does with her voice, at this age, are things that can't be taught. Plus, her moves and stage presence are natural- she has the IT factor. I dislike Country music, but if I were a record producer, I would have signed Scotty on top 13 night. I feel the same with Jessica! When you've got it, you've got it!  Jessica is a cross between several current Divas and Adam loves his Divas!  |

I get what you are saying, tigerlilly, but I actually feel that NCOE might be more of a risk. What if the PDs are fervently waiting for Adam to release something different?! Something that lives up tothe hype :-/

I get what you are saying, tigerlilly, but I actually feel that NCOE might be more of a risk. What if the PDs are fervently waiting for Adam to release something different?! Something that lives up tothe hype :-/ They are hicks! They like the same old shit!  Radio PDs don't like different unless they are made to like it! IMO, Trespassing would have to pull a "We are Young" for PDs to jump on it. |

I think Trespassing is a novelty song - great fun and sexy for concert, but not for radio. I think NCOE or Cuckoo - preferably NCOE, would have a much chance for success. The expert has spoken. hahahahaha. |

Assuming the clip we heard of Trespassing is the final or close to the final track -- it is an electro funk, post-disco track. I think it will have a much harder time getting airplay vs. Cuckoo, a more mainstream dance pop track.
I really want Adam to have a big, big hit -- and that says Cuckoo to me.

Q3, I fully expect the next single to be NCOE! I think the signs are pointing to it! And I do think it will be a hit. I just don't see it as representative of the other songs we've heard and heard about.. that are on the album.

Totally unscientific opinion.
I asked my 21 year old college senior son to listen to the four snippets and tell me what he thought and how his demographic might like the music, plus what was radio friendly. I did not tell him anything else, like for instance that Bruno Mars wrote NCOE.
He thought they were all good. He felt that Cuckoo and Naked Love were the most similar to current radio and that Adam would blend right in (maybe too much) but he thought Trespassing and NCOE were the most distinctive and made Adam sound unique and that is what he felt Adam needed; to be immediately recognizable as Adam. He said Adam needed his own sound. So I said great, Trespassing is my favorite and I want to hear it on the radio and he said, no not Trespassing because it is just a little too different which of course stumped me.
I guess that means from his perspective NCOE should be the next radio single by default. I still want Trespassing.

Something that lives up tothe hype :-/ One thing is sure, RCA and Adam have gotten a lot of feedback from PDs. And they even tested the tracks. The only hints we had on these tracks was from the UK where the DJs, PDs and press heard Trespassing and Cuckoo -- and most reports were that Cuckoo was the hit single. We'll see. I really think that they can't go wrong with these four tracks. And none involve Dr. Luke or Claude Kelly -- so that is a good sign. ;D ;D ;D |
