I am blaming it on Adam!!  Waaaay too many radio promo stops! In any case, looks like BTIKM has peaked on Top 40 and is leveling off on HAC -- still headed up but rate has decreased. Plus, looks like it is close to done on VH1 :( I wonder when soon is? He did say in a recent interview that he would perform the next single on NewNowNext awards so I would guess they need to make a decision like now so they can rehearse that. If he does that we should hear either reports from the taping on the 5th or we'll be surprised with the broadcast on the 9th. At any rate should be by the 9th at least. Sorry I don't remember which interview it was but one in the last few days. |

It is so confusing with all these appearances. I missed this clip. Adam talks about sound issues on stage, singing the National Anthem, and lip syncing. In past interviews Adam said that he lipsynced the SSB at Comcast San Diego -- but at 1:18 he says that is the only time he lipsynced to himself. Did we know that? I never recall hearing that before. I guess he is excluding the group performances on Idol because those were clearly lipsyned. (And I could be asleep still -- so let me know if I have lost my mind.) |

Off topic but posting an update here because so many of you cared... That extended family member I mentioned who was having such a hard time in his conservative college environment, with encouragement, now feels empowered enough to change his situation. He is transferring to another school with a more liberal environment for the fall. He put together a sound, reasonable plan for himself, informed his parents calmly about what he was doing and how it would benefit him, and said he hoped he would have their support, but understood their decision was up to them, just as his decisions about his life were up to him to make. His family is sticking with him. "Aftermath" came up somewhere in our conversations; he is shedding his armour and already he is starting to feel like he has fallen into the glitter. Adam gave this as one of his favorite lyrics recently, and now it has another added layer of meaning for me.  I am so glad Adam is out there being visible and real. This is so cool. College years are a time for fun, learning, spreading your wings, and to have any of those things suppressed by the ideology of others in such a confined atmosphere would be a travesty. Good for him! |

We need to hit VH1 with all of our combined focus this week. There have been so many things to watch, and we have been listening to Adam sing new songs. We need to remember to vote for this one until the next one comes out! We love this MV, and Adam is so proud of it; Let's GO! That's what I think. If we all do just 20 more votes per day, we should be able to get it back up! It is such a good video too! Deserves recognition. Poor Ray Day. 2 great videos in a row, for Adam, that he directed that are brilliant for songs that did not go high enough to be recognized (side eyeing Luke and Claude right now!) |
