I can't find the NNN comment but a few times on this promo tour he has referred to BTIKM as his "new' single -- he did it for one of the Portland visits. If anyone has the link, please post. He has said he will perform the new single on Idol and said it would be released "very soon" which is before "ish" I think.  The timing works for it to be on NNN. But there is no word that radio stations have been sent the track yet or even know which track it is. If Adam performs his real new single on NNN -- which is taped on April 5th -- we will find out what it is because there is an audience. And with no announcement yet, it could be the announcement. Nothing traditional about this promo, so I doubt they will get typical now -- but debuting a new single with a live, recorded performance on LOGO, would be a bit out of the box. It would also be a sign that they really want to have support from the gay community for this single. Whichever track they pick, and whatever the promo plan and schedule -- I sure hope this single gets a Z100 and/or KIIS/Ryan Seacrest World "premiere" spin. I would even be happy with a Q102 Philly + WPLZ Tampa + a few other Clear Channel hubs. After all the promotional groundwork -- enough to make my head spin -- I want to hear this new single all over the radio. I am marking my calendar for "very soon" and can't wait to hear the new single. |

He did say in a recent interview that he would perform the next single on NewNowNext awards so I would guess they need to make a decision like now so they can rehearse that. If he does that we should hear either reports from the taping on the 5th or we'll be surprised with the broadcast on the 9th. At any rate should be by the 9th at least. Sorry I don't remember which interview it was but one in the last few days. he did? I remember him saying that he will perform a new single on AI in May, but I do not recall the NNN.... which means I missed an interview - not so difficult given the volume... if you remember when - please post, I really want to hear EVERY word BB has said :-[ ETA: Totally OTT: if you've been watching Decorah eagles last year - they are back and the eaglets just hatched: www.ustream.tv/decoraheagles#Oops, you may be right, that he was talking about the AI appearance. We need to hit VH1 with all of our combined focus this week. There have been so many things to watch, and we have been listening to Adam sing new songs. We need to remember to vote for this one until the next one comes out! We love this MV, and Adam is so proud of it; Let's GO! That's what I think. If we all do just 20 more votes per day, we should be able to get it back up! It is such a good video too! Deserves recognition. Poor Ray Day. 2 great videos in a row, for Adam, that he directed that are brilliant for songs that did not go high enough to be recognized (side eyeing Luke and Claude right now!) I am not sure voting will help but it is worth a shot. There is more to VH1 countdown ranking than voting -- they have never revealed what they use but Jim Cantiello from MTV News confirmed it is more than online votes. VH1 has changed the way they ranked videos at least twice -- including earlier this year. --- And may I join you in that side-eye to Dr. Luke and Claude Kelly. and raise you one. I think Congress should pass a bill that bans them from doing lead singles for Adam F. Lambert. |

I am sure this will be a "backing track balls to the wall" performance. It is a great place to try out 2 that are in the running! Debut the new single on NNN and send to radio then perform it on Idol in May when it has had a chance to get some traction on radio. |

I think the timing looks pretty good for a period to build awareness with radio airplay, then put the single for sale, then perform it on Idol in May (big audience) to promote the album. Maybe a release to radio around April 17?? That would be four weeks before the album drops. Do we have an Idol date yet? ETA: rihannsu -- we basically just posted the same thing. Must be right. |

The new single should be NCOE or Cuckoo both of these are just stuck in my head and won't go away. It's actually starting to drive me crazy and I think I need a break from them. I think this new album is going to be soo amazing don't remember any song on FYE so implanted in my head.
