Yay for 17!!!
I hope we continue to plod up the chart, much like the Christina Perry song "A Thousand Years". It has added 100 to 150 spins a week for the past 2 months and just like that - it is all the way to #7. Sneaky little song.
Don't get me wrong - I'd love a rocket ship to the top of the charts, but just sayin - it ain't over yet.
Keep requesting, keep filling out the "rate the music" survey, keep your fingers crossed. This song still has a ways to go!!!

It looks like CHR Updated but Adam did not show-up. 46 50 CHIDDY BANG Ray Charles 194 430 -236 0.571 Can this be right? The spin count is so low? I just did "Leaders" for BTIKM. I only added up 149 spins. Sirius dropped from 84 to 65 spins! Huge drop! Neither Boston or Philly are on the Leader board anymore. There actually were only 6 stations listed. No starters. Too bad because even if he had stayed the same as last week, he would have made #46! However, I am not crying because if Boston and Philly have dropped to practically nothing and he is one of the headliners for their May shows, I would think that means they are getting ready for the new single VERY soon! They have to have something to play for their show promos!! Interesting observation about the Top 40 stations, I was wondering about that sudden Sirius drop-off too. *crosses fingers that they know something is on it's way*

This song still has a ways to go!!! The difference is Christina Perry's song has had a constant presence on the CHR charts. It is now at number 25: 25 25 CHRISTINA PERRI A Thousand Years 1799 2026 -227 8.976 This is what an HAC song needs to make any kind of impact. It needs to go top 5 on HAC and get at least to the top 30 or so to become a song that is familiar to the average radio listeners. There's always the next single. It should do better, MUCH BETTER, on Pop!

Yeah Tigerlily, I hear A Thousand Years all the time on Chicago's HAC and have for MONTHS. It is getting daytime spins and has moved up the chart by spins rather than relying on recurrents. If you are talking a HAC "hit," then the song needs to break at least top 10.
Adam's next single will do much better, I am convinced.

I'm sure everybody here realizes the "#17 - it's a HIT" is sarcasm related to KA fans insisting TT was a hit when it reached #17.
From adaminradioland:
BTIKM has peaked on CHR so we won’t be doing spin updates for this format anymore. More recurrents than expected were removed from CHR and HAC yesterday and there’s been speculation of new recurrent rules. New spinner on HAC (could be syndicated spins though) WGER, Saginaw.

Ok I thought I read that one of the HAC spinners I think it was a station in LA who had 23+ spins, changed to another format.
If that is the case, than his HAC spins look good considering that loss.
WHen it get played on Saturday night, what is the spin amount?
WHen do you think #2 goes for adds? Next Week?

How long can he hold onto #17???
Matt Natason w RUN and of course Taylor Swift and THe Script (I'm not sure how popular they are) are coming up right behind him.
I can only hope that some of the stations pick up a few spins (oops, a lot more spins) I would love to see #10 A girl can dream can't she???

Everyone's numbers were a little "off" on that update. He now has 75 stations spinning him, up from 68 last week. Swift will pass him and everyone around him probably this week. Nathanson has been right behind him for weeks, WEEKS!!!!!! HAC is so slow!!!!!!!
