Yeah Tigerlily, I hear A Thousand Years all the time on Chicago's HAC and have for MONTHS. It is getting daytime spins and has moved up the chart by spins rather than relying on recurrents. If you are talking a HAC "hit," then the song needs to break at least top 10. Adam's next single will do much better, I am convinced. There were four recurrents this week!  The thing with HAC is that they play those recurrents for weeks and months, like they are still in the top 10 or 15, which takes spins from the current songs on the chart. I guess that is why HAC is SO SLOW! WHen do you think #2 goes for adds? Next Week? Who knows? LOL First, they have to decide on which one it will be. Then, they will have to figure out some type of roll out plan that involves the UK and the rest of Europe, Canada and Australia. THEN they will release it to radio and set add dates. I would think Adam would premiere the new single on some radio station that agrees to give it major spins right away like SF did with BTIKM. |

I'm sure it's been re-hashed to death. BUT a month? I thought a single needed to be released at least 6 weeks or more before the release of an album. May 17th speculative appearance date for AI. Tweenies need to be familiar w the song so he will super hype w the audience like last time w WWFM. So I'd say his new #2 shld be released like NOW. Not only that, it seems to take quite a fw qeeks for stations to add Adam as well as forever to start palying. He doesn't have that luxury. repeating myself.. THe single needs to be released ASAP. I'm just so impatient. crossing everything that this #2 is better than BTIKM (but I liked BTIKM)  |

Maybe they are moving on it faster than they usually do. (almost like a WWFM situation) HOPEFULLY, RCA has been working half as hard as Adam has been over this past month. I hope they have been getting things ready for single #2, while Adam has been busting his ass on his never-ending promo/radio tour! Miracles can happen!  |

well according to the Brian London tweets there will def be a new song performed at the NNN awards (which is taped this Thursday)

Has this been done before?? How about coordination w radio stations? like Z100!!!!!!!!!!!! How about a nice cover on their home page like I've been seeing for lopez, Pitt Bull and Bieber.!! YEAH I know he's not as big but he's still a superstar in the media eyes. Q102 better play the shit out of his new single..IMMEDIATELY none of this Bull shit of playing on countdown and only at night AND NOT THAT playing the shit out of it, but every hr on the hr TOO. THERe I said it. I want it all. |

Z100 has a cover on its page of Pitbull/Lopez and Bieber because of past history and some big time deals going on behind the scenes. That Bieber song is SMASHING like no other song has in the past year. A full page ad makes sense. I want it all for Adam also, but IMO, it is really unfair to Adam to expect him to have the kind of roll-out that someone like Madonna or Gaga has. If we are expecting that, everything about this era is going to be disappointing for fans. How sad that will be for Adam's sake! :( I'm thinking that Adam is looking at this whole era with realistic expectations. It would probably be good if the fans could do the same. |
